While we're on the subject of cameras, I think mine's broken (as I may have stated in another thread). I recently put a roll of film into my camera, and when it got developed, only one picture came out. :-[ Apparently the thing wasn't advancing the roll, if at all.
Maybe it just wasn't put in correctly.....

I hate my laptop sometimes......I'm installing some updates for Windows and it's so slow.  I know it has to get done, so I'm not annoyed at that....

My favorite co-worker put in his two-weeks notice the other day.. he told me tonight. I was sick all night, I got two burns so bad that they blistered, and I had to stay almost an hour late for some lazy new guy.. I had to freaking sweep and mop the lobby and behind the counter, including under alllllllll the machines. And mind you, I was sick the whole time.

God, I'm pissed right now.

I may have some good news about either a part time or even a full time job.One of my buddies I don't volunteer with him but he's somebody who I talk to after I finish my work on Thursday and Friday when I volunteer at my hospital.His name is Paul and he works in the Hematology/Oncology Department,He's a Phlebotomist full time.He was telling me about a friend of his named Jerry who comes in and delivers packages within the hospital.Paul was telling me that his guy needs a delivery person either part Time or Full Time and they pay $17 an hour,I was hesitant at first but I may take it.I gave Paul my phone number to let that guy give me a call whenever he gets a chance.I think I might keep my 1 day a week at Au Bon Pain and forget about working more days cause I don't think It'll happen anytime soon.I think this might be my calling cause I'm dying to get out of this rut and start working Full time cause I want Robin and Her Parents to get off my back and I know how hard it is for the both of us to struggle with jobs so this might be a good thing.Robin wants me to take it so I think I will.What are the odds of working at your hospital permanently? I think the odds are very good.I volunteer Thursday and Friday,I work downstairs on Saturday and I might receive a call from the delivery person so I'll keep you up to date of what happens with this job if I get it or not. :)

I had a lot of classes today, but I skipped them ALL so I could go to the doctor and get some medicine. I've had this cough for about 3 days and sinus-type symptoms for a week.

Feeling good tonight. Thankfully, today didn't end up with me being stuck in the house all day and me and some friends went to the town and bought stuff. Well...take your time. My mom had surgery last Tuesday, as I mentioned several pages ago on this thread, and she hasn't gone back to work yet. She's not totally ready...but hopes to go back at some point this week. :)

Some empathy karma for you because I'm in the same boat, but mine's here already and I have to go to class since we are only allowed to miss 2 :(  The drugs are starting to kick in and make it fairly manageable and the professor is pretty soft-spoken so it shouldn't be too bad. :-\\

Today was okay... I've been fairly well for the most part lately.. but a few things have been happening that hurt me a good bit.. but I'm noteably better then I have been in the past.

I'm looking forward to be working full time,keeping my Au Bon Pain job Saturdays and seeing Robin on Sundays.See,If I work more days,I'll be busy and still have time to see my girlfriend.Plus with the 7.75 an hour I'm making at ABP,this delivery job pays 17 dollars an hour.That's fantastic money.I'll have so much,I wouldn't know what to do. :)

Slightly annoyed with a place I'm attempting to line up with a gig.

The place has been flagging for at least a year, and if business doesn't pick up SOON, it'll close within 2 yrs.

I have spoken with a tenant who works there, as well as the Head Manager. While they are very gung-ho about the idea of a Salsa band playing there, and consequently theming a night around us, the Owner's attitude is "Gimme da money!" Period.

The place could use a facelift, but the Owner is a tight-ass.
The Owner is also known to have 3 other businesses, including a winery.
He wants as much money as he can get, but doesn't want to fix the place up, or do anything other than rake in profits into his pocket.

-Not the best way to run a railroad. >:(

Sometimes the Task Manager does that.. even on my own computer, I see that on occasion. Especially when you try to end a task.

Yes,I would still have my SSI and Medicaid.That's why it's great to be on SSI and go to work then you'd have more money to fool around with.

Sometimes the Task Manager does that.. even on my own computer, I see that on occasion. Especially when you try to end a task.

Feeling really tired today, despite having over 9 hours sleep. The only new news is that my mam has finally taken the PC in for servicing this morning, so it should be back up and running by next week  :)

I agree 100%.  You have a chance at a job and your job coach is telling you NOT to take it?  That's like a baseball coach telling you NOT to swing at a good pitch.  It's not like this is an inherently dangerous job or anything, you're delivering mail for goodness' sake!  Let's see......$7/hour working 8 hours a week or $17/hour working 40 hours a week.....if your "goal" is to work more hours, the choice should be simple....

I'm still thinking about taking that delivery job which is union but I'm not too sure yet.My job coach thinks it may not be a good idea since I'm waiting for more hours and after 6 months If Au Bon Pain hasn't given me more hours then I could make myself a new goal.I also want to be able to keep Au Bon Pain on Saturdays and work Monday-Fridays Full Time at $17 an hour.My buddy Paul said I should go to Human Resources and ask for Jerry so he can give me the application and fill it out and bring it back by next week.Thinking it over is best cause I don't want to jump into anything that I don't know much about.I'll let you know what happens.

See Mama,My goal IS to work Full Time,slowly but surely I'll get there.Just today,I went to Human Resources and asked for the application then after that I went to see Jerry and he told me a little bit about what they do and let me tell you The Shipping/Receiving department can get very busy and I mean busy.He was telling me some days are 9-4 and some days are 9-5 plus you get good benefits and holidays off and I think you get an employee discount for lunch from what he said.The tasks include getting the packages and bringing them up to different offices within the hospital and making sure they sign for it,using U-Boats as well.I was writing down some pros and cons and it seems that the pros outweigh the cons but the cons seem more consequential.I got the application,make a copy of it,show it to my job coach and talk it over with people.I would like to keep Au Bon Pain 1 day a week Saturday and work Monday-Friday 9-4 or 9-5.The dress code is blue jeans and a shirt with sneakers or loafers.I'll have to think about it some more,I'm still unsure. :-\\

Well...I am feeling pretty good. After not having our internet for about 2 months...we got it back today! I have been keeping busy though...it has not been too bad without it. I just had the most awkward phone conversation ever....

Back here after a month off. Since I've been gone, we've been through 2 deaths. One a close friend of my daughters, which was very sudden and just a totally sad situation all around, and the other, the owner of the store I work at. Hoping the rest of year is quiet in terms of bad news.

I'm busy. My friend is having ahernia surgery and is starting a 20-hour a week job at Coldstone Creamery I'm almost sure she's going to quit. It will interfere with her grades and her parents will make her quit. I've been on a schedule where I go to bed in the early evening and get up and hang out/do homework in the early morning, from like 2, since I'm more fresh and able to work in the morning. That was me the past few weeks.  I would've gone to the doctor, but I didn't think they'd have given me anything because they're jerks there >:(  I've gone with the same symptoms the past 3 years at about the same time and they've NEVER given me anything for it >:(

I AM back and I have to admit, I AM enjoying it (even though I'm close to the OLDEST in each of my classes.....I think I'm even older than 1 of my professors :o)

I'm probably one of the oldest people in at least one of my classes, at 26...but I doubt that I've had a professor younger than me. I anticipate I'll finally get my B.A. right around the time of my 10 year HS reunion.

Feeling pretty good...the weather is brisk and cool (only around 58 degrees)...yay...fall is here! I think I will start decorating outside today (since half of our neighborhood already has their fall/Halloween decorations out).

Sleepy and bored and definitely unmotivated.

To be fair to the doctors, you can't really give anyone anything for a viral sickness.  I'd get sore throats and ear infections a lot as a kid and my mom would run me to the doctors every other week to find out what was wrong, and 90% of the time, they were viral and the doctor couldn't give me anything for them.  I just had to take aspirin or other OTC pain remedies until it was over. 

In your case, most swollen glands are the cause of viral infections.  You can ask your doctor what OTC stuff works best, if you haven't done that already.

I wish the week would get over with- on Sunday, the band records its demo, for the booking agents!

We're doing 6 songs, about 45 secs. to 1 min. of each- not the whole song, but just enough to get the flavor of each.
I've gone through this recording service before, with great results...we figure maybe 2 hours worth of work...plus, we'll be doing photos, in order to get our promo packet done up right.

Well, your doctor was wrong in not prescribing you anything.  I think he should have run a test or two before determining that he didn't need to give you anything. 

So far,I've talked with my job coach and he talked to the Supervisor at Receiving and what they need right now is someone who good at computers so He said to give me a call if something comes up by next year and I'll continue to work on the job application with him and see what happens.I'm also working on more hours with ABP but right now they're on the downside so I don't know what'll happen so we'll see.

Um today i was feeling workedout haha tomorrow, my school soccor team has one of the biggest game of the year,
not only is it going to be our first game, its going to be a tournament game. so our coach work us so hard today,
we had to run 5 miles today =[ so sleepy.
