Not live, really. She dances a lot on stage, and she doesn't lip sync like Sh*tney Smears does, so her vocals will suffer. On record she sounds good.

They basically use a pitch shifter to enhance what are either noises made by apes, or noises one makes when they're constipated in the bathroom.

I like some of her songs, as sm said her spanish singing is a lot better than her english. Laundry Service was great though, Oral Fixation vol. 2 is not that good at all and Hips Don't Lie is really annoying.

"Oral Fixation" is the name of Shakira's 2005 English language album and actually the title isn't as sexual as it sounds- it has to do with something else, but I can't really remember

No, they sang their own songs. In the beginning they didn't play the instruments on the songs, but later they fought to be seen as a real band and they ended up playing the instruments they played on their TV show.

I don't like his voice myself, but I wouldn't call it a "bad" singing voice.. it's just strange.
Morrissey can really hit the notes, but something about his voice can irritate me from time to time.

Rap, back in my youth, or 'back in da day', as the Ebonic Phonics insist on calling it, was about 4 things:
-How cool it was to be alive
-Real-life issues that actually concerned something other than profanity and death
-Rap 'artists' who actually took pride in their craft, and weren't out just for the cash
-Clothing styles that didn't involve showing off one's underwear/buttcracks
I grew up on, and liked, initially:
-The Sugar Hill Gang
-Run-DMC
-DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince
-Bobby Jimmy & The Critters
-Newcleus
-Anyone involved with the "Breakin'" film soundtracks
When Ice-T's "Cop Killer" came out, that's when I quit.
The only artist I can listen to now, without cringing, let alone enjoy is Stakka Bo.
His 1st LP, "Supermarket", which was released in 1993, was a reminder of rap should be about.
