I was thinking about getting an mp3 player and I wanted to know which is the best to get? Also- do they come with any types of cords??

My mom has a Zen that comes with a little necklace-chain thing.. in your price range, you're looking at a 256 MB or so.
Zen is the most reliable company that isn't Dell or Apple.

Not an Ipod Shuffle. :P I'm not as anti-Ipod as I used to be (for Heaven's sake I own a 60GB ipod!), but in that price range, the Shuffle is a piece of crap compared to what else is on the market. I'm not interested in flash players, so yeah, I can't really help you in that department. Check out sites like Cnet as well.

Here's a good one with 1 GB memory, FM radio, plays for sure, etc for $99. SanDisk's are good for something in that price range.

Creative is the company, and they are reliable... I love my Zen Vision, but that's not what you're looking for!
For the same price as a nano, you can get a player from Creative with five times the space!
