well...considering that we don't have internet right now (until we pay our bill again)...I am at my parent's tonight to catch up on the boards..etc...but I won't be on as much for a little while. So....I am gonna start working on things that I have neglected for sometime (organizing the attic, the house, doing outside work, reading, and working on some of my writings).

The world's nerds probably riot and overrun the streets...or just create their own, exclusive internet. Not that it's even possible to close down the entire net. You'd have to sever a hell of alot of connections.

I'd write a coffee table book of our memoirs & experiences at inthe00s with chapters of the most travelled threads and include our pics and publish it so we could at least have that to look at from time to time. 8)

If you get a laptop and keep it in your room and in its case when you're not using it, you shouldn't have a problem. I can see no reason NOT to get one. How do you your banking? I do everything online.

At a bank. I don't have a good enough job right now for computer and internet, I also don't have cable or satelite TV.

You've apparently never heard of the words "hyperbole" and "exaggeration". I wouldn't literally die, and I'm pretty sure you know that. Jesus Christ. My entire life is online. I bank online, I buy a lot of stuff online, I can't watch my baseball team without the internet, I talk to my friends about 85% of the time online , without a computer, I probably wouldn't have gotten through school......so yes, it's a mainstay in my life and without it, I'd be f*cked.

My metabolism is too high to do that(when I get hungry, it drives me crazy).
Plus I've never really seen anything on cable that would really interest me.

I always *feel* like I'd go crazy without my computer but...the couple of times I've been without it, I'm happy after a couple of days. It's a bit of an addiction for me and I know I'm better off taking long breaks now and then.

Like others, I'd probably get ALOT more done around the house. Although, I'd probably spend TONS more time on the phone because I use email as my primary mode of communication for stuff like scouts and it's alot easier to send a mass email than call 50+ people. I can't even use the school to send stuff through the kids anymore because we're now spread out over 3 schools :-\\

We have just got rid of our remote mouse for two reasons, for it suddenly crash on us and we decided that the batteries were a bit too much on the costly side.
