How to make a hit movie (or make a fast dollar)
all you have to do is think of about 4 funny scenes (for a comedy)
now once you have these scenes you put them all into your movie trailer
of course people will go see your movie... then they will realize they were basically paying to see a movie trailer stretched out with meaningless gibberish but at this point, you as the film maker has made your money

1) An everday sort of thing that inspires feelings of unpleasantness. Like air travel.
2) A universal sort of fear. Like snakes.
3) An action movie star. Like Samuel L. Jackson.
4) A memorable line of dialogue. For example, Samuel L. Jackson could politely request that the snakes be removed from the plane, and he might point out that there arise circumstances in which no corrective action can be taken.
5) A title.
Help me out here, folks. Still stuck on #5.

Why not have the first line or words of the movie as the title of the movie?

Do a sample questionaire with a sample consisting of a single group of 14-year old teenage boys - take on board every idea (however stupid or far out), which you can later weed through to disregard any idea which will not be commercially viable. Then release it to the same target audience - disregarding almost everyone else - and hope for the best.

"hit" movies aren't really ms. richards' thing. if they were, i doubt i would love her so.
although i could totally see her in "snakes on a plane." sounds very "devil dog," that one.

Actually, I don't think they have any non-unrated DVDs anymore.. what do they call those ones that aren't unrated? Oh yeah.. Rated. Yeah, they don't have those anymore.

they still sell them, unrated director's cut, uncensored and probably other gimmicks to boost sales
