Tell us about your favorite drug-free highs.
Here are a few of mine:
Hugging my wife
Laughing with my friends
Auditioning for a part in a play
Winning a part in a play
Acting in a play
Listening to music that fits my mood-of-the-moment
Creating a song parody that matches the rhythm & rhyme of the original song
Feeling grateful
Counting my blessings

I haven't had that in a long time. God, I miss it.
And all my highs involve alcohol.
No wait, I thought of one:
Watching my son act like a freak.

Well, psiologically speaking most of those activites are drug-induced highs - your body releases pheremones (which make you happy), and/or adrenaline, which are drugs the body produced. But I know that's not the proviso of this post, so I'll leave out the pedantic semantics.
Mine would include;
- Going to a good concert (usually a music concert)
- Experiencing a revelation about something, a totally new way of looking at something
- Making a connection with another human being (Lord knows how rare that is for some of us)
- Dreaming
- Cookies and cream ice-cream
- Having everything in your life 'click'

For me my biggest drug free highs have come from:

- rollercoasters and other theme park rides
- gatecrashing celebrity parties
- letting an American drive me in Australia - ok no that wasnt a high - that was a near death experience !! :D
