Can you 'curl' (horizontally) your tongue and/or roll your 'Rs' when you speak? I don't know if there's any correlation (or if any studies have been done, lol), though this might go some distance in finding out. I can personally do neither, what about you?

Curling your tongue is genetic wheras rolling your R's is not.  If you learn Spanish, you will learn to roll your R's.

Of course it was when the MOVIE came out. That was in late 1991, and on Thanksgiving Day that year, KCAL-9 (an independent affiliate) was airing a day-long marathon of the TV series. For the next six months after that, they aired the episodes weeknights at 5 PM.

I whistled better before I got braces and had my teeth straightened...

Now, I can still whistle pretty well, but I do it much better (louder) when I suck air in rather than blowing it out... :D

You might.  I have a friend who's spoken Spanish all his life (he was born in El Paso, Texas and his parents are both from Mexico) and he can't roll his r's.

Nope.....he also had a lisp despite years of speech therapy.  People didn't believe he was actually hispanic and a native Spanish speaker because he sounded so funny.
