Sorry dude. Maybe you should confine it to like one topic that already exists.

You can contribute in other ways. I mean, Chucky hasn't banned you...
There's much ground to cover concerning any decade...

can't you just be happy posting in the already existing decadeology threads? Why must you not be content unless you can create 10 new ones a day?

It's not the end of the world. There are plenty of other threads here for you to post in and get involved with. This is not a valid reason to "quit" the board.

I think you were going too overboard on the decadeology topics and Chucky just got sick of it. It gets to be too much of the same thing posted over and over again. I think that the decade boards should be about the pop culture within the specific decades (1980-1989, 1990-1999, etc) and not tons of topics about when the so-called feel of a decade began and ended. It's time to move on to something else.

I'm a semi decadeologist. But I'm not upset about this. I originally joined to talk about anything '90s and my experiences in the '90s. The surface of the decade (Decadeology) is just one of the many ways you can study the '90s or any other decade. I'll do just that.

What exactly constitutes a decadeology topic anyway? Is there a specific set of criteria? lol

Is pop culture analysis all right, like as when the general image of things changed on MTV, why artists became more/less popular, etc.? That's what I'm into, and those tend to field alot of responses.

Yes I would imagine so. The type of topics being banned are the "is 1990 the '80s?" type topics.

i think the late 90s were the best decade for decadeology threads.
and by the late 90s, i mean, of course, the early to mid-2000s, which were way more 90s than the 90s.

So does that mean the early 90's were like the 80's or were the 80's like early 90's? ???

1980s B.C. were great times. Cavemen bashing dinosaurs over the head with clubs, then dragging it home to cook dinner for their cavegals ;D

No, the mid 2000s were more 2000s. The early 2000s were more 90s. And the 90s didn't start until '96.

Did you prefer houndstooth-patterned garments back then or was that more 1990's B.C. ? ???

That's more along the lines of how I've always prefered doing it, too (discussion stuff).
IMO, the list/chart type threads are okay in a limited amount, but perhaps there should be one sticky thread for that (no more "new" ones), and/or just bump an existing one if you have any new thoughts on the "is 1991 the 80s" styled topics.

That's the same reason I joined. I don't think this is necessarily the end of "Decadeology".IMO there's still plenty of ways to talk about/anylize a decade than just disscussing where it "began" or "ended"

Yeah I didn't come here to discuss whethere 1999 is '90s or '00s, I came to talk about the 1990-1999 and 2000-2009 decades.

The houndstooth pattern was more 1970s B.C. but it carried well into 2010 B.C.
Man, those were the times O0

Yeah, but was 1970 B.C more like 1969 B.C or 1971 B.C.?
