My favourite album from 1977, is actually a 1976 album. Forever For Now by April Wine was actually released in late 1976, but it didn't become popular until 1977. It includes the single "You Won't Dance With Me" which at the time was their most successful single to date 8)

Knock 'em Dead Kid - Trooper I get all teary eyed whenever I hear "Oh, Pretty Lady". Such a beautiful song

Even in the Quietest Moments - Supertramp
Little Queen - Heart

Jimi Hendrix Experience - 'Are You Experienced' (worth it for the title track alone!)
Pink Floyd - 'The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn' (a thing of great beauty)
James Last - 'This Is James Last' (okay, I lied about that one!)

James Last - 'This Is James Last' (okay, I lied about that one!)
But James Last is awesome!
I have his 1985 album "Leave the Best to Last". His rendition of "Hooray! Hooray! It's A Holi-Holiday" rivals that of any composition by Beethoven ;D

Only when I'm inebriated, I find!

I think Beethoven's had the 'Last' treatment, too...will he stop at nothing? :o

BTW, Wikipedia is a great way to find out what albums were released the year you were born, if you can't remember any off the top of your head. Just type in "**** in music", replacing the asterisks with your birth year and there should be a list of albums released that year.
Combat Rock - The Clash
Kissing to Be Clever - Culture Club
Rio - Duran Duran
Thriller - Michael Jackson
1999 - Prince
Avalon - Roxy Music

Goodness, it's amazing how few 80s albums I actually know. Out of 1986, my two favourites would be Skylarking by XTC, and The Queen is Dead by the Smiths.
