If you could choose what you would have been in a past life...what would it be?




I would have to say...an old time burlesque or Vaudevillian performer for myself....I could just so see me doing something like that.

I could be one of those distinguished gentlemen in the 1800s who wear those giant top hats, and say things like "Ta Ta" and "Cheerio" ;D

I think at some point I was a Western pioneer.

Probably a traveling salesman.


Or Babe Ruth.

Probably some prostitue or hippy, knowing me. Or Pol Pot.

In my past lives (I'm an old soul, according to all the lines on my hands), I lived in (since I get "strong feelings" from all of these places):
-India.
-Arabia.
-Germany, in particular Berlin during the Cabaret era.
-SE New England.
-Los Angeles.

I think I was a court poet/academic and a prostitute.

Do some people say if you have a strong feeling for a place you lived there in a past life? ???

In my case those places would include:

-Spain(particularly the southern area, Andalucia)
-Northern California, in the general area of Monterey, Socelito(sp?), el Gato, Salinas etc. 'John Steinbeck country', particularly in the 1920s and 30s
-the Punjab region of whats now Pakistan
-Sicily

I think my 'soul' may have a thing for warm climates.  In this life I'm in Texas.

Note: the areas above are places that have held a particular interest for me in my lifetime and have elicited a particular feeling I get compared to other places.  I have no clue if theres really a "spiritual" reason for these feelings.

I didn't know that strong tie thing.. in that case, I probably lived in Oregon, Berlin, or Russia (European Russia, around Leningrad)

Maybe a Romantic Poet in Paris in the 1890s or something...or a King in Ancient Persia or something...

Ya know, yesterday I was sitting outside in a tank top and shorts complaining about how hot it was, so I would probably not survive in those dresses, bloomer, corset, slips....I'm sweating just thinking about it!!  LOL!!

Still, they're pretty to look at.

If you subscribe to the reincarnation theory... Why not believe that we can be reincarnated as someone in the past? For example, who can say that I wasn't an anchient Egyptian in my last life, and will be a member of Abraham Lincoln's cabinet in the enxt life? Hmmm? And while we're on this bizarre note, what if everyone in the world is the same person being reincarnated as different people in different times?

Okay, enough of the mind-bending exercises. Class dismissed.

i've heard that theory about how we're all the same person cycling through everyone's life in different orders, by the way. it's a hot one.

i think it was in a book called "5000 b.c."? that was the same one that made the argument that if you met someone who saw all the colors of the rainbow backward from you (so that black was white etc.) you would never know because he'd just have the same name for all the different colors. it's a good book.

it also said that maybe the purpose of humanity was to lay absolute waste to the planet so that no other race as horribly repulsive and violent as humanity could ever emerge here again. i don't necessarily subscribe to that one.

I'd live in a huge swanky apartment filled with stunning 'up to the minute'  Art Nouveau/Deco furniture, Tiffany lamps and such, and have a string of very handsome male admirers - which does clash somewhat with my Suffragette connections - but hey  ;D
