I'm going to say around 13, though there might have been one or two girls who did at 12, and not "everyone" was doing it until the summer going into 10th grade, probably. Now, people are getting bored with doing drugs and trying the sex.

I am not sure. I "heard" stories and stuff, but to me, 16 seems about average. When you look back on it years later, 16 is so very young  ;D

Yep.  I graduate high school in '77 and most of the people in my year (at least those I knew) left high school still virgins.  But by the end of freshman year of college most had their first experience with sex.

Now I'm in my 40s.  To the youngsters:  No need to hurry.  You have much to look forward to  ;)

I think there's at least 20-25 people in my grade who've really "done it." Out of 115 people, still not that many, really. I think more people claim to have done it than actually have...there's only a small group of girls that actually do it, and probably a slightly wider variety of guys.

I can only compare myself to my male role models.  And in that comparison I'm behind, it doesn't bother me that much anymore though.  What bothers me less now isn't anything social surrounding it but just purely not doing it.  I guess thats because I'm 18 now so I'm starting to hit my sexual peak.

One or two at 13/14, a few more at 15 and a lot more at 16 (the legal minimum age in the UK).  Of my particular friends at school some did at age 16, some later at uni and others probably in their 20's when they got married.  I can only think of one person I know who had a baby very young (age 12 or 13) but a couple more left school at 15/16 to have a baby.

My sister often jokes that, with people 'apparently' doing it at a younger and younger age, in the year 2050 they'll be doing it at age 10.  ::)

Yikes, I hardly knew what sex was at that age. I watched a PBS special on it one night and I was like "  :o " I had to run out and confirm it with my mom if that's truly how it worked. I really started looking at people in a whole different light.
