Subject: Best Love Songs ever?
Written By: whistledog on 05/29/06 at 5:14 pm
So I'm watching this show where they are counting down the 10 best love songs ever, and get this ... "As Long As You Love Me" by Backstreet Boys beat out "Just the Way You Are" by Billy Joel. Now that's just not right, so I now ask you, what do you think are the best love songs ever?

Crazy Little Thing Called Love - Queen
I've always loved this song and think it's fun, as opposed to sad or downcast, like most love songs seem to be.

Well now.
I get annoyed when people just rip in to the Black Album.
It's a superb album!
It's no Puppets though.
Just to quickly hi-jack this thread. My list would have to go..
Puppets
Justice
Black
Lightning
Kill
Garage Inc.
Load
St Anger
Re-Load

I don't know that much about Metallica, but I love the Black Album and Re-Load. "The Memory Remains" is one of my favorite songs on Re-Load. I'm sure more Metallica purists would disagree, since most people I know that love the band don't care for that album much.

Here's my take on the whole "Selling out with Re-Load" concept.
Re-Load is a better album than about 95% of everything that's ever been released.. it's just not as good as the rest of what they did.
