Subject: Who or What are Walruses?

You know on the brief for this board it says, 'discuss preening tips, how to avoid walruses...etc', just out of curiosity, what are Walruses supposed to be? Spammers, hackers, annoying guests? Lol, it's a valid question.

Walruses tend to attack penguins... or at least that was my understanding... no clever analogies or anything

It was what Opus in Bloom County always feared. it could be wrong. Sad to say that's all I know about walruses, what I learned from them in Bloom Country strips.

According to all the sites I checked walrus don't eat penguins. Maybe this is because walrus live in the arctic and penguins live in the antarctic?

it's funny that I was as typing that, I wondered if it was indeed one of those case where, like polar bears, walrus only live in the artic.
according to wikipedia, seals and orcas are primary predators:

I should update the board description.

The walrus was Paul.
Standing on the cast iron shore-yeah,
Lady Madonna trying to make ends meet-yeah.
Looking through a glass onion."

In the Antarctic the penguins biggest enemy are seals. And some of those seal species make walruses look small !!

Perhaps instead of Walruses (Walri?) we should avoid Killer Whales? or do they only eat seals?
While I have similiar statue to a killer whale, I have yet to be mistaken for one. ;D

The diets of killer whales vary from one region to another.
a. In the Antarctic, killer whales eat about 67% fishes, 27% marine mammals, and 6% squids.
b. In the Bering Sea near Alaska, they eat about 65% fishes, 20% squids, and 15% marine mammals.
c. The diets of resident and transient killer whales differ as well. Resident pods eat a wide variety of fishes and rarely seek out marine mammals. Transient groups primarily eat marine mammals and occasionally eat fishes.
