The quiz says I'll live to be 88.  Which isn't bad, but not enough for me.  I'm shootin' for 100.  (On my 100th birthday (2059) I want to go on the "Tonight Show" and tell people all about what life was like in the 60s and 70s).

I didn't like that they grouped being single with being in a bad relationship.  Believe me, I've been in a bad relationship and being single is much nicer.

I'm predicting 65 for myself as both my mam and her mam died of aneurysms and I have a minor one starting.
But yeah as you say the major technological advances, along with our higher awareness of adopting healthier lifestyles/standards/attitudes as compared to those of our forebears from years ago can hopefully play some part in our longevity.

My answer to this:  Barring accident (death by being in the wrong place at the wrong time) or Darwinism (death by stupidity), I'll die when I get bored, or when I run out of money, whichever comes first. 

Would you rather retire at 40-45 and live until 65-70?  Or retire at 60-65 and live until 85-90?  At our present state of tech, anything past 90 is pretty much in the "adult-diaper-wearing years" category.

Unless you're good enough at biotech/neurology to be _very_ confident that you'll have the same quality of life at 90 that today's 60-year-olds have, I'd say there's a case to be made for cashing out early. 

Anyone who believes they'll be able to grow/harvest their own replacement organs, purchase the same on the retail market, and/or upload the contents of their brain into a computer (and/or just live as a brain in a vat hooked up to a big virtual reality engine) - should take care of their meat as long as they can, because it'd suck to die of preventable causes 20 years before the species achieves immortality.

Either way, ya pays your money, ya takes your chances.

It says I'll die at 73, but it depends on what website I do it on. I also did a similar quiz on www.bbc.co.uk/bigfatproblem and it says my life expectancy is 89 years.

I think I had a heart attack.


Oh well, something different, eh?

I don't smoke or drink heavily but I do love my food so my guess is that I am more likely to die of either a heart attack or complications with Diabetes (which runs in my family).
