Getting rejected is part and parcel of it all - it is natural to get rejected sometimes and doesn't mean anything at all as there are a myriad of different reasons why a woman can't/won't go out with someone. The main problem I have is when people quote scriptures out of context. You know, I was sitting next to two people that had a 'holy war' of sorts. They both had different beliefs and used scripture to prove their contrasting beliefs right. That only shows to me that there are religious people willing to pervert and take scripture out of context to satisfy their own ends.

I've got nothing against the idea of a God, what I DO object to is the way he's portrayed in so many different ways. He's a hardass disciplinarian when need be, but when they're actually arguing for him, he's the most loving being you'll ever know! There seems to be two sides to God - The Old and the New Testament.  ;D

The old testament deals with God being vengeful in his justice (10 plagues in Egypt, Noah's Flood, Sodom and Gomorrah Etc) and the new testament deals with God being very merciful (using Jesus as a representative of what he is, healing the sick, performing miracles etc).

The two sides don't gel. If there was some of both in each testament, maybe I could have warmed to the idea a bit more. As it stands, I just get the feeling that God (if he exists) has multiple personality syndrome - and that isn't perfect in any stretch of the imagination.

That's a difficult one because the themes involve sacrifice and helping the greater good. God lost his son but gave mankind hope as a result. Besides, after Jesus died physically he returned back to heaven (as displayed when he appeared before the apostles in spirit form after his death). I'm only theorising that Jesus's place wasn't meant to be on Earth but to remain in heaven.

Anyhow, you've got to believe in God, Jesus and heaven first to believe this . . . :)

It was God that created all the languages in the first place (as a way to confuse the workers of The Tower of Babel for Nimrod and stop them finishing it. God then supposedly scattered these workers all over the world) so God has the capability of effortlessly knowing every single one.

Getting rejected is part and parcel of it all - it is natural to get rejected sometimes and doesn't mean anything at all as there are a myriad of different reasons why a woman can't/won't go out with someone. The complete brainless moron next door thought he was clever turning his music right up at ten to 7 this morning (His room is on the other side of my wall). Seriously. The pipes on my radiator were rattling... and I couldn't get back to sleep. So i'm feeling pissed off at the moment. Not a good start to the day  >:(
