Punk was never about the music chief.

The best thing I can compare it to is the Japanese Noise Bands.
It's an expression of free form rather than technical profficiency.

Oh and.. Listen to some 87-96 Slayer... that's technically proficient Punk, and it's fukken uber.

Japanese Noise Bands? I know of Kahimi Karie and Cornelius, which sound very random, more about the expression.. they're decent.

Same for me with those.. odd odd kinda, indie folks. (for lack of a better word, there's so many ultra specific genre's now I find it hard to keep up)

Power chords can be Ok, depends on how they're treated and the rest of the musical environment...


Have you heard The Flaming Lips early stuff? I think it's pretty good. There's also the post-punk and new wave, and I know you like some of that, though it's quite different.

Well, I'm not like Neo-Nazi Supremacist Skinhead or anything.. I just found the songs somewhat enjoyable.

For the few who say punk is nothing but power Chords are wrong.
Today T.V punk yes, but if you listen to the under ground punk no,
under ground punk is the best there is. but punk is move of
a way of life then music, you have us punks then you have the
poser punk, they walk around with British flag every wear and say
anarchy in the UK. 1st off what is it with anarchy in the UK. yes it was
a sex pistols thing but no in America, you cant live your life my music,
and thats what punk today is, and it sucks, my punk the the true punk is
to live life the wayyou want, to break away for the world and all its screwed
up people, i mean come on would you rather have people in tight pants
walking around or people with there pants at there feet?
