I blame it for staying up til 3am and then not getting up early enough (and hence missing appointments.etc).
I blame it for hogging my spare-time.
And I blame the insidious way it does it; for awhile you don't feel like posting at all, but when you like posting you're desperately trying to get your post count up.

I get about 8 a night, plus any naps/sleeping in later.

I get about three hours a night, and this is on good weeks and an upgrade from high school. If only I could kick that nasty procrastination habit... but my nocturnal habits are just a part of me. I do have a tendency to sleep for long periods of time (11-12 hours) given the opportunity. Some have suggested that I go into estivation. ;)  ;D

I think it's part psychological. You can sleep as long or short as you 'will' yourself to.
