Do you think you're more of an introvert or an extrovert? What do those (psychologically certified) internet quizes say about you?

I always lean onto the moderate 'introvert' side. I guess I've always been shy, as true a loner as you'll find (though I wasn't that much so in primary school), but though I should socialise more, in some ways I like my independence. I get all the socialising I need from inthe00s.com...Nah just kidding, but I'm a definately an introvert, and I didn't need tests to tell me (though they all agreed I rarely even peeked my head from under my shell).

Mostly extroverted.  I"ll talk to anyone about anything. BUT sometimes, if I"m on my own and out and about, I will want to keep quiet and unnoticed...but that's not being introverted.  I'm outspoken- I'm the annoying person that talks to you on your check out line and offers you her club card.
I"m also the person that talks to you if you get her on the phone by dialing a wrong number.

I'm a little bit of both.  I have no problem speaking my mind when it's people I know, but if it's people I don't, you probably couldn't even pay me enough to speak up.  I'm also rarely the one to initiate conversation with someone I don't know well.  Around people I know (or if I've had enough to drink), you can't shut me up ;)


I"m the same...actually, the "howare you when you're drunk" theme is funny.  I"m talkative, but if the conversation is not maintained, I get bored instantly...

Alcohol doesn't really really make me any more talkative...I'm also actually pretty severely shy, the reason, I think, I have few friends (whom I rarely see) and no significant relationships, is I find it very difficult to initiate a relationship. I guess it's low self-esteem and confidence.

Definitely introverted.  I pretty much knew I was and then I took the Myers Briggs Type Indicator in a Career Planning class that I had and it confirmed that I was introverted.  It actually said it was "very clear" I was.  I'm one of those people that even has a tough time calling my dad by "Dad", but "Mom" is very easy for me....I can't explain it.

well...most people would think that I am an extrovert, because I usually have no trouble talking to people, etc....but I do have a lot of introvert qualities.  Around people that I do not know, I can tend to be very shy, in the background, etc.  Also, I (most of the time) prefer to be by myself....as, I get annoyed easily by people. ::)

Sounds like me. I hate to make phone calls to people I don't know-even if it is to customer service for whatever. But sometimes when I am with a group of people, I start talking and talking (especially if I have had something to drink).

Yeah, I am. Usually it's only in person that I'm awkward at first.

Very much an introvert.  I don't go to people, they come to me.  I've always been that way, even when I was a little girl.  I never made friends that easily, because I was never outgoing and I wouldn't walk up to other kids and be like "Hi, I'm Beth!  Wanna be my friend?".

I wasn't introverted as a kid but noone wanted to be my friend anyway.

It's now that I'm introverted.  That's why I didn't make any friends last semester in college.

It all depends on what mood I'm in. If I'm in a good mood (which is more often than not), I'm pretty outgoing and I like to laugh and joke and spread good cheer. If I'm in a funk then I can get somewhat withdrawn.

It just depends on the situation I guess. If I'm in a room full of people I don't know too well, then I usually keep to myself, but around family and friends and at work, I'm totally different.

I have had a long history of being an introvert until college. Now I am still an introvert to an extent but each year I have become more social and engaged in more conversation as I'm finding out how much I have in common with my fellow colleagues and coworkers. Either way I try to be as terse as I can to stick to the point of things.

I'm an introvert mostly, but I do enjoy being with my friends from work and spending time with them. I have learned to be more assertive due to my ever increasing extroverted job (talking to people all day long sure helps you out). So, little by little I've come out of my shell. But, I still like my "me" time, too.

I think I'm mainly an extrovert that likes to interact with people of all ages, my peers, underlings, superiors, whomever. Sometimes I'm talkative, chatty, try to be funny because I love to amuse family and friends. (don't we all)?  and then once in awhile I can be an introvert, kind of a quiet shyness, but really I'm not shy at all. I just like being quiet and by myself also. I decline lunch gatherings every so often and it surprises my friends at work, but I need my own time to myself and don't always need the stimlus of conversation. plus sometimes those work chicks just talk so dang much  ;D

I've never been one for inane chatter myself...but that's not really the reason I'm an introvert.
