Subject: PDA--How old is TOO old?
Written By: quirky_cat_girl on 03/10/06 at 9:55 pm
Ok...so I am curious....how old do you think is TOO old to be making out (kissing, hugging, holding hands, mild groping, etc) in public? Does it bother you to see older people showing PDA?...or does it bother you to see ANYONE doing that in public? What are you opinions?

I don't care what the age, I don't like to see others make out.

I don't mind it, but when you see two people really going at it like they should maybe get a room, then it's a little extreme
Years ago, I saw an old couple on a city bus making out like they were newlyweds or something. They must've been in their 70's :o

Hey, if grandma and grandpa want to play a little tonsil-hockey in the grocery checkout line, who am I to complain?
;D ;D

Being from the cold heart of New England, PDAs gross me out. The most I can handle is people holding hands(doesn't matter what
age) after, other than that, puhleeeeeeese!

You're never too old for a little PDA with a little TLC. ;D

A little bit of it is okay (Holding hands, a hug, even a small kiss), but I honestly don't like it much at all. We had a couple of teenagers come into the store a couple of weeks ago, and they stood in the isle and made-out... it was pretty disgusting and awkward.

A little bit of it is okay (Holding hands, a hug, even a small kiss)..
That's what I typically do. I always keep it simple. :)

Years ago, I was in Jumbo Video (Canadian video store), and I saw an elderly couple looking to rent some sex video. I didn't want to stare, but as I gazed over out of the corner of my eye, I saw her pinch his buns and then she quietly said "I can hardly wait until tonight" :o
I had to leave the store because I couldn't stop laughing ;D

I don't mind seeing a bit of PDA at any age-holding hands, smooching, etc. But there comes a point when the couple should just get a room.

I don't care how old you are, if it goes beyond holding hands/hugging/small peck, it's gross and not meant for public consumption.

Age ain't nothin' but a number for me. I don't care if you're 13 or 113. As long as it's within reasonable bounds. A kiss or handholding in public is fine, but I don't care what the age is, I daresay I don't care to see people humping each other and groping.
I once saw two people trying to have sex in a lake out in the deep part one time.. I don't much care to see anything like that again.

When I was in the 7th grade this friend of mine would bring his girlfriend over to my house in the afternoons before my parents got home from work, and they'd make out on my couch. I always watched it, I found it entertaining.

I don't really care. As long as they're not like having sex or humping each other. It's all good otherwise

I never see older folk sharing PDA, but irregardless, PDA is ok if it's just a display of affection, "a quick, brief display" not a show, otherwise if it's a makeout session, tongue, whatever, find somewhere private to suck face. I don't wanna see more than a kiss or some hugging. Go do your foreplay behind closed doors. :P :-*

Quite. Funny statement it made me grin. ;D
I totally love seeing older people holding hands and such, but haven't ever seen anything heavier than a brief kotl - thankfully.

I got the line suck face from the movie On Golden Pond. It amused me and seems appropriate here in this topic.

Not in private? That would mean "in public." Isn't home supposed to be private?
Perhaps you meant "not in public"?
