My grandmother had an art school and shop when I was a child and I had to hang there after shcool (grades 2-5 or so) and I painted every day. I am the most god awful painter ever. I gotta get a picture of my famous 'mushrooms and tree' painting - my mother still wants to hang it up *gag*.
The mushrooms are bigger than said tree- terrible!

"art" is soooo very subjective.  Some artists don't even admit they are doing art...they call it expressing themselves in media.  Forgive me you  artists out there for generalizing.  There are few "A" type artists out there these days, such as someone on par with the masters; Picasso, Manet, Monet. But I saw one in a friend's home last night. The young lady is 18 and this piece looks classic like a picasso.  A living "A" artist.  sadly, ian't remember her name.  But she's a California treasure.
