Subject: Unique Voices
Written By: quirky_cat_girl on 02/01/06 at 9:01 pm
Is there an actor/singer/famous person whose voice totally stands out...that you think is very cool or unique?
Here are a few that I think are unique and I really like them....
Katherine Moennig (plays Shane on "The L Word")...it's very husky and sexy.
Ilan Mitchell-Smith (played Wyatt on the 80's movie, "Weird Science")...kinda squeaky..but unique. BTW...look at this updated picture of him..he looks totally different now! (http://home.pacbell.net/afortin/Ilan/pix/41.html)
Eddie Kaye Thomas (played Finch on the "American Pie" movies...he was the one that scored Stifler's mom)...he has a very smooth and unique voice.
So...who else can you guys think of?

I think that John Lennon had a very recognizable voice. I guess its the scouser(liverpool) accent.
Frank Zappa is another with an interesting voice. He seemed to have a very broad announcer kinda voice(which is sorta a California thing, Phil Hartman who was from southern California had that kinda voice), but with this odd nasal-y quality.

I always thought Jerry Orbach had a unique voice. I'm really sad that he passed away... Law & Order isn't the same without him.

I like Tom Waits' voice.. especially when he's doing songs like "Cemetary Polka"... it's very appropriate for it.
Other unique voices... John Linnell (singer for They Might Be Giants) has a strange one.
