I think the "Tens" is the most accurate. "Teens" would be 2013-2019, not 2010-2019.

"Twenty-tens" for the long form, and short form would be teens. I wish people would stop using the two-thousand prefix after 2009, I prefer the "old" way of saying years for some reason.

Ironically, saying "Twenty Ten" sounds more futuristic than "Two Thousand Ten". Saying "Two Thousand" sort of implies that you're still used to it being the 20th Century, which naturally a lot of people are. I think by 2013 people will say "Twenty" instead.

I think we will call them "present day" once it happens to be that date, and not worry about how to abbreviate them for now.yes? No?
