Post art you made as a kid!

I was cleaning out my closet today...there was a lot of stuff stashed in the shelves from a long time ago. This was something I made in art class in second grade...using some kind of chalk, but I forgot what it was called. It was folded in half, and since it was too large to scan all at once, I scanned each half...notice that these are two separate pictures.

Marsh, is that a hammerhead shark you drew. It is isn't it. nice artwork, you gotta save this stuff. I have to look for the artwork my daughter drew for me, She called it Psyco art of the 70's, it's cool but it got a water stain on it. I'm sure I saved it. If I find it I'll post it.

Computers were now around as we know today when I was young.

Yes, times were much simpler and slower then, I thought an etch a sketch was mind boggling. LOL, but technology arrived and here we are today. fascinating.

Cool art up there. It looks like they're in an aquarium. That is usually called hard pastel. I have those myself and use them in paintings and drawings from time to time.
Wow, some of my childhood artwork is quite old indeed. Going on 20 years! I'll have to dig some up.

The only thing that I can dig up right now is this mothers day card I made for my mom in 1st grade (May 1994), it's not much of an artwork though. A lot of my stuff from elementary school is probably in the garbage now unfortunately.

Hey, that's some good handwriting for first grade. My handwriting from third grade is barely legible.

Well, I did this as a teen (along with many others-I have a full book of my drawings). This is the second one I scanned in-the first you couldn't see because it was too light. Then I had a hell of a time trying to resize this so I can post it. If I get ambitious enough, I MAY decide to post another one or I just may say screw it. ::)
I hope you can see it.

All of my stuff got ruined when my parents' basement flooded a few years back :(
That happened to my dad as a kid...
As for Marsh's drawing, I drew one EXACTLY like that in second grade.. well, you know not exactly, exactly, but of seaweed and fish and stuff.
By coincidence, I just discovered one I'm fond of from when I was four ;D it's a person. I'll put it up sooner or later.

I haven't drew in a long time. I don't know why. I also used to paint every now and again. I LENT my paints/brushes to someone and never saw them again. :\'( Like I said, if I feel like fighting with this computer again, I may post some more.

I had an easier time resizing this one. Of course they do lose a lot when scanning in. I can't post some of the ones I would like to because they are too light and the scanner just doesn't pick it up at all.
Anyway, here is another one-again, I did this when I was a teen.

Wow, great drawings, Cat. I'll go find some of mine and get them put up soon, but they're from elementary school, so try to be nice and not laugh too hard! ;D

That is great. I would definately frame it and put it up. We have some framed work similar that Carlos' youngest did a long time ago.

Ok, now I'm worried because I can't find any of my old school stuff anywhere :( I did find a box of old letters and some valentines. These are probably from about 1967ish 1st or 2nd grade. I love the Batman one. :)

As you can see, there wasn't much difference between the seven years when I drew the first picture, and this one.

I lost all of that stuff a long time ago-but I have every card and letter that I have recieved since about 1976 (?). Carlos and I had a "discussion" about that not too long ago and I told him that I will NOT part with it. So, I'm sure I have some valentines from the 70s, in there.

Here is one I did around 1987-1988 in which I found in a scrapbook that was labeled "Kristen's Scrapbook 1988" I suppose I colored this in around Halloween.
