Subject: Trip to Hell

As we are planning our next trip, I can't help thinking of some past trips we took that were awful.
1. We were going do to D.C.-roughly a 7-8 hour drive. Our biggest mistake was taking 95 on a Friday before a 3-day weekend! We were cruising along until we hit New Jersey and traffic seems to stop! We must have moved about 5 miles an hour. Luckily, I didn't have to take a bathroom break because there was no way to get off the highway. We finally got to D.C. 12 hours after we began.
2. I was with my ex and we were living in San Antonio, Tx at the time and was flying to Cleveland (where he was from). When we got on the plane in S.A. they had over-booked the flight and put us in First Class (how nice). They were offering $200 to anyone willing to give up their seats. We thought about it but we had a connecting flight and decided against it. (We should have.)
We changed flights at Dallas. From Dallas we flew to St. Louis. From St. Louis to Louisville. From Louisville to Frankfort. From Frankfort to.... Up and down, up and down. And they only thing they fed us were peanuts. I was starving. We weren't in the air long enough to be fed. I can't remember how long that stupid flight took. But, that is what I get for letting my ex book the flight. ::)
I'm sure there are more but that is for starters.

How about driving 13 hours to Disney World with 2 kids who have to stop at every bathroom on the way! And listening to "you're in my space", "stop touching me" ........blah, blah, blah! That was years ago, but I tell you, I'll never drive that far again. :P
