At the time, I was working in a public library(and had been for about 15 years prior).  My hubby suggested bookmistress, because it's an old fashioned word for one who attends books.  I added the 4ever part because even though I don't work in a library anymore, I'll always be a librarian at heart, if that makes any sense.



When I am feeling down I go sit in the library.  It is nice and quiet and the librarians are so nice.  My sister, the nice one in the family, has been a librarian for about 20 years or so.  Libraries and cemeteries, that's me  :)

Feeling down/Feeling up. You can't know one without knowing the other. When I'm at work and it's a stressful day or I "feel like crap", gettin some of my favorite foods helps. I'm not talking healthy food, I'm talking a juicy Nations cheeseburger and fries. It helps.  I've learned not to wait for people to bring me up or depend on them for my well being because people dissapoint you. The best solution is usually for me to do something good for someone else and that takes my focus off myself. They feel better which in turn has a positive effect on me.  and Music always helps.

There is a lot to be said for listening to uplifting tunes. I could never understand why depressed people would listen to stuff about suicide and negativity . . . I suppose there is some logic to it somewhere but I can't find it.

I laugh at that too.  I know I shouldn't, but the laughter just comes out.  The other day in a thrift shop, I witnessed some old lady trip, and fall into a small shelf full of electronics.  She ended up accidentally smashing a few VCR's ;D

Thank god I'm not alone !! My friends always tell me I'm evil for laughing at other people's misfortunes but I can't help it. I always justify it by saying I laugh at myself too when I fall over.
Ian fell down a huge steep slope in a forest once and I must admit once I had established he wasn't badly hurt as we were miles from nowhere with no phone I laughed so much I was in pain, I couldn't even stand up anymore I was laughing so much. We had a video camera with us and he'd dropped it on his plunge downhill but it was still running. All you can see is me scrunched up on my hands and knees apparently sobbing hysterically, I was actually weeping with laughter. He has never forgiven me !  ;D

Well sometimes, but not often cause my cat loves to jump up on the side of the tub and/or sink and randomly knock off things on a whim.  I'm afraid of setting the place on fire.  Although technically, I suppose since I'm in the tub, I *could* throw water on it before it got too out of control.  :D

Cats are funny creatures.  Even when I let my cat into the bathroom with me.  She'll walk around for just a little bit then want back out (after causing general havoc.)  So, the only way to combat this indecisive feline is to leave the door open.  That way she can come and go as she pleases.  It's not like we ever have people (who might walk in on me) over to visit anyways.
