Ok Beth gave me an idea.
This was my first post as a member of Inthe00's.  It was in response to an 80's thread about brand name slogans. It was posted on 3/2/05. If you don't know how to find it, just click on your name, then click on "Show last posts of this member" and go to the end of the last page.

Isn't it funny how must of us started out strictly posting in the 80's... until we finally got up the nerve to venture here to PPP? When I first signed up I never came to this part of the board because I thought it was actually about penguins... which I know nothing about. :-[

It is so darn hard to chose a song when all of Nirvanas songs are great.
I chose "The Man Who Sold The World" because Kurts voice is so beautiful and haunting on that track...

Okay, here goes with mine -- on March 9, 2005 at 8:54 AM.
In the 80's section, called "Is Journey a 70's or 80's band?"
BUMP
Probably both, but overall it depends on which era. "Lights" or "Lovin' Touchin Squeezin" are more 70's classic rock styled. Though they started out in the 70's (even Steve Perry joined around 1978), they did have songs into the 80's that were very of the era too.
In fact, alot of older artists/bands updated their sound in the 80's, which is one thing I always felt was cool!
Not to nitpick (although you'll soon find I'm a natural-born nitpicker with just about anything, hehe), but Bon Jovi or Def Leppard are a litlte different sounding to me. Those bands are more pop type heavy metal, whereas Journey seemed closer to stuff like Foreigner, Eddie Money, etc. Sorta halfway between pop and hard rock -- or what they called "arena rock" in the 80's.
That all said, though, songs like "Girl Can't Help it" and "Send Her my Love" are definitely 80's sounding (my favorite era of the band, even though most people I know wouldn't agree!). :D
BTW, I totally am the same way with posting as some of you have been. I started out mostly in the 80's board, some 90's and a little of the other decades. I only went to PPP a little bit at first, slowly doing it more with time.
Consequently, some of the first people I knew were in the decade boards. It was what I knew best, so I felt most comfortable with that at first. Since I know alot of you fairly well now, I'll probably do alot more PPP posting too. :)

You hit "Archived" in the right hand upper corner of your screen. It will take to you to the main menu of the archieved section. Then you can either hit what section you want or type in what you are looking for.

I can't remember the title or the artist of a song from the early eighties. In the video a young woman is teaching, and some men come in and she rushes to cover her head with some kind of cloth. but because she was teaching without her head covered she is hung. The only lyrics i can remember is "You can take my life but you can't take my faith away"
I have been trying to figure this one out for awhile. If anyone can help thanks .
I was wrong about the reason the young girl was hung- but i did find out what song it was :)

Written By: Tam on 01/13/05 at 1:13:43
I am at a loss! I have been searching for the past year to try and find these jeans to no avail.
They have fold down pockets at the knees, snap closures if you dont want them open.
We used to call them "Party Pants" because the knee pockets were big enough to hold a beer in each one!
Pockets were lined with cotton, either white or light blue.
I had like 4 pairs of them but obviously grew out of them and they disappeared.
Also, any idea if they are being made again or where I could get some originals?
Thanks!  :-\\

Hello everybody, I errmm...am always arkward at introducing myself, it's like I just arrived at some big party where everyone's having a good time and I want to join in but nobody invited me...
I am a child of the 1970s, reached some kind of maturity in the 1980s. First record I ever bought was "Teenage Rampage" by The Sweet, 1974. First gig - Black Sabbath and Van Halen, 1978. I am a big fan of The Runaways and Joan Jett. Or at least I was. Also love The Clash, Talking Heads, B-52s, New Order, U2, Kate Bush, Dr Feelgood, AC/DC, The Bangles, Metallica, Wham!, loads of cheesy 80s pop bands. I found this site by searching for lyrics to a Hayzee Fantayzee song. I'm English, if that isn't already obvious.
Am I talking too much? Hope to see you on the forums.
Did I really say that I loved Wham!? I also think saying that I was a child of the 1970s is ambiguous because actually I was born in the 1960s, although what I meant was that most of my childhood memories and formative experiences were in the 1970s.

Was that your first, Paul? I was sure you'd signed up as a member in May... ???
Probably not the first, as I think I was pootling around the quiz board for a while at first...
...until I thought, 'I'd better introduce myself...people may be wondering who this headcase is!'
So rather than wade through the quizzes from that time, I just chose this one! It's near-enough...!

ah yes, I remember that. I think I officially signed in right before that....I was posting as a guest early than that.

I finally got my account activated! Hooray!! "
However my first post on the old board was probably answering a lyric quiz

I used to be called "SHeRa340" when I first joined on the old board in 2003. For some reason I got deleted and had to rejoin. So my true first post is lost to oblivion.
My first post as Nullandvoid is booooooriiiing

^ I'm sure it didn't contain capital A's with a ^ over them.
My true first post (from February 2004) is probably lost too. :-\\

Mine was a topic I started about getting a song parody deleted that I accidently sumbitted twice(by absent- mindedly going back and clicking process), it was a parody of Sliver(I've done to parodies to Sliver and both times accidently duplicated them). The thread is(probably still) in the Song parody section.

Remember the rumor that said Rockwell was really Michael Jackson? They did sound alike, anyway.
P.S.: This is my 1st message as a registered member, and I hope everything goes well in the future. Thank you.
