I notice there are many serious topics in the Playful Penguin Place
if you are going to post something "serious" in a place that is "playful" don't get upset when someone makes a non serious reply. If you post in this board in my opinion you leave yourself open for some joking. What the hell is thread "hi-jacking" this is the stupidest thing I've ever read on here, do you really think one person can hi-jack a thread alone?

Well I get the impression (and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!) Chucky just wanted to put a little humor/different spin on the forum names/descriptions.

Technically it's the "off topic section" but he probably wanted to be more creative - I like it, lol. I don't think it's meant to be 100% serious in nature. :)

I get what you're saying, but let's be honest, people should stay on topic in threads to a degree at least. Unless it's meant to be a more "goof off" thread. I mean let's say I was to make a topic about what kind of DVD/VCR combo I wanted to get (just an example!). And someone reading it thought, Oh cool, this could be informational. I want to see what everyone else says.

But then it turned into stuff about f@rts or something. They'd be like, Geez, what the heck!

Nothing wrong with going on a tangent sometimes, but when it consistantly happens it can be kinda annoying. I don't MYSELF mind too much, but you have to consider those that may not like it.

Well, say 2 is going around doing that ALL THE TIME.. no one ever gets any real discussion, the forum is simply "PENIS!" and "OMG! LOL!".. so, if you can eliminate the leader of the "rebellion", the followers have no choice but to conform or become another martyr for a rather pointless war.
