Now, this put a huge smile on me face -- as did Erin's picture! 8)

I wish I was back in 1985!

Turning 24 just feels like a big change (Michael J Fox was that age when he played the real Marty McFly!!). But I was just thinking about this - it's like, every 5 or 6 years I have a notable birthday.

When I turned 13 in late 1994, I was excited since I figured being a "teenager" and not a "kid" anymore would make me a ton cooler, and treated more grown-up.

Going from 17 to 18 in 1999 was big too, but in the opposite reason. It was kinda scary and unexpected being considered an "adult", feeling like I had to be responsible and couldn't get away with anything (not that I ever made much trouble, but you get the idea).

Yet in both those instances, I realized it was just numbers. Sure there were changes, but it was way slower and more subtle. I've only been 24 for around four hours now, but it feels alright so far. ;)

Actually I'm not celebrating it till Sunday - a few friends (from work, and class) are throwing me a "farewell to the early 20's" party - I'm sure it'll be fun, but I'll still behave!! :D

I want one of those so bad.. just to carry it around all the time.. some guy at our school was walking around with Haddaway's "What is Love?" going on a loop right before Christmas break.. it was hilarious.

^ You could try thrift stores - I've gotten a few good condition older ones there -- which must've cost around $200 back when they were new, lol.

Only problem is they tend to eat D batteries for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
