Subject: I'M OFFICIALLY RETIRED

Yesterday I turned in all of my final grades for this, my last semester of full time teaching. No more vexing freshmen to torment me. No more boring commitee meeting. YIPEEEEE.
Now to learn herbal medicine, do the chores I have been putting off, and read the Horatio Hornblower novels.

And more time with Cat (as Paul said) is the main one. " Lounging" in bed in the morning, late nights.
I also get half pay till 65, and med/dent until Medicare.

Thanks, everyone, for your good wishes. I'm alreading enjoying it, although as happens every summer, it takes a few days to get acclimated to having no official responsibilities. This one is a bit different because I don't have a pile of history books to read.
