I have just read what happened and I am shocked. Words escape me for the moment, please for me remember the happier moments over the next few days.

Sweet darlin, you know how I feel...we do share a common bond that no one deserves to share....the death of our sons. You know I love you, and even though we met on the boards under horrible circumstances, know there is some who knows EXACTLY what I am going through has been a source of comfort to me....as I hope I have been to you. My life is just a little brighter having someone I can relate to...and you are a freaking nut to boot! Bonus.

For those who have never met me....my name is Banasy, and I met Mark here on the boards almost 4 years ago, when I read about his son Blaine's death on April 26. My son's birthday is April 26. He would have been 25 today. Seven years ago on April 17, 1998, he suicided.

When I read about the pain that came thru in Mark's post, I had to respond. At that point, it had been 3 years my son was gone, but Blaine had just died...and I thought it was probably meant to be that I reach out to Mark....

My son was born on April 26. His died on April 26. Both were 17. Yeah, I was meant to meet you, Mark.
Although I wish it were under better circumstances, you and I were meant to be friends. And we are. And I love you.

You know I will always be there for you. Today sucks, but it IS getting easier, isn't it? We may never get over it, but together, we will deal with it!

A lot of people here have mentioned how I feel regarding your horrendous tragedy and I can only reiterate their words by saying I personally hope you can remember the great times you had with your son. These memories will help keep you strong.
