i hate rap & hip-hop too.. but i dont listen to it, so i dont know many artists in those categories.. so i tried to pick 20 of the ones I do know

I liked Anthrax up untill they did that rap sh*t, when I first heard them do "i'm the man" I thought, this is funny, they are making fun of rap, who knew they actually liked it  :o

most of the worst bands ever probably never gained a national audience. If i had a band and most people in the country agreed that it was a terrible band, i think i'd consider getting the entire country to notice i exist to be a very positive thing. I would definitely have a lot more money then than i do now.

I agree with many of what you guys have already listed (I'll put my own together later), but Springsteen?  :(

Okay, alot of his stuff is kinda boring, but Born in the USA has gotta be one of my Top 10 albums of all time (we had it since I was about 1, so there's some sentimental value to me listening to it that long!) -- yet the 80's arena rock sound is totally unlike much of his output.

In short, I hate most of the "whiny" pop/punk/emo bands. Some people may not detect a difference, but to me, Simple Plan/Good Charlotte/Dashboard Confessional all fit that category to me - just noise (for the record, I listen to stuff as heavy as Metallica & Rob Zombie on occasion, so I'm not basing it sheerly on the volume, which says alot!).

(I always, on the other hand, thought Bowling for Soup, Ataris, Jimmy Eat World, etc were different - much more fun/anthemic.)

The lame-ly sad thing is, many of the guys in these bands really do seem like cool guys - why do they put out such cr@ppy music is beyond me, though!

Of course, most mainstream gangsta rap would make the list, as would "Who Let the Dogs Out"s own Baha Men - that couldn't disappear fast enough!  ;D

christopher ccross kinda has alway creeped me out with his extra mellow sounding voice...and the fact that he kinda resembles my ex (in a strange way) doesn't help much either! LOL!

Ya...it seems like everytime Dave Matthews comes here to Pittsburgh to concert...they come for 2 days...and it always sells out immediately....it baffles my mind....must be one of those shows that people go to just to smoke weed or something! LOL!

I have been there twice and mostly they play rock music of just about any decade, but I have heard them play Buffett once while I was there.  He actually was there for opening day and did a concert but tickets were over $200.

i'm a fan of skinny puppy and i've read a lot about the band. i never heard of such thing happening. they do use violent images during their stage show. you probably read some account of a sensitive concert goer who took offence.
