Since nobody answered either one of these on my "Senseless Poll".
As for me, I couldn't live my life in total darkness. But I could live without listening to the crap said close by. ::)

I would want to lose my hearing because you can learn sign language. But, if you lose your sight you'd have to learn brail, which seems like it would be a lot harder.
