personality like- Well, I'm a bit unpredictable. I can be happy one minute, and something as stupid as someone accusing me of being another member or someone not talking to me can make me miserable. I mean MISERABLE. I've done lots of things I regret whilst depressed. And then other things I don't regret, but shouldn't have done.

Otherwise, I guess I'm a decent guy. When I'm not depressed, I can be pretty funny, but I'm also a lot deeper then people think. People are surprised a lot at my ability to relate to problems or give advice or just console. I guess I just project the image of being one-dimensional, somehow, even though I'm not particularly shallow or unfeeling. I guess the humor just makes people assume I have no serious side. Very far from the truth.

Don't you like concert band?


Concert band's okay, but I live for marching season.  I always did, since we first marched in seventh grade.  I love the uniforms, the smell of sweat in the band room, the informality, the lack of a baton...it's just...da bomb.  And now, we get to do field shows, which only makes marching season better.  Even in concert band, my favorite pieces are the marches.

Besides, it would have sounded corny saying my favorite band was "The Shippensburg High School Concert Band," 'cause "Marching Band" has a better ring, and doesn't make us sound preppy.

for me, it's all about the geek factor. my first gf hated star wars, star trek, D&D practically everything i loved. never again! my last gf was geekier than i was...*sigh*

Do they smell like grass or do they smell gross?  And I think they're cool.  They're way better than the middle school uniforms, especially since mine had this blue dot under the silver "S" that really got to me.  Besides, the smells are all parts of the marching season allure.  (Also, they're wool jackets that have been sweated in, rained on, and hung in a closet nine months out of the year.  Do you really expect them to smell like roses?)

And saying "The Shippensburg High School Marching Band" has more power in it.  More energy.  More awesomeness.  More pride.  And in marching season, our eyes are filled with that pride.  In concert season, our eyes are half closed from waiting out million-measure rests.  (Or at least mine are.)

No, concert season is just something to do between Veteran's Day and Memorial Day.  I'd be nice if we had a pep band for the basketball team to kind of keep the marching season spirit somewhat alive during the long winter's months, but it is not so.  I'll just have to await the arrival of Memorial Day, and the arrival of the Band Letter soon-thereafter.

personality like - how much time do you have? I'm not a simple person. I am intelligent, and take pride in it. I'm a self-described intellectual. I try to hold myself to standards, and if something is a passion to me, I can be rather obsessive compulsive about, but it has resulted in good results. I love a good debate and discussion, but I prefer to avoid politics and religion in real life because it gets too personal too much of the time. I have my insecurities, much of them as a result of strained relationships with both my mother and father. Because of that, I have developed a very self-sufficient attitude. Neither parent has been all that dependable for support, so I am quite adept at supporting myself emotionally. I am strong-willed when I really want something. However, with most things I am pretty laid back unless it is something that is of high principle to me, and those few things that are, I am pretty serious about. I have a tendency to get wound up, but when I loosen up I have a good sense of humor. I am definitely an actor, and can put on a show. I'd make a wonderful salesman or lawyer.
