What kind of computer do you own? Mine is a IBM Pentium II, it runs on a Windows 98, and I call it "Dino" since it's practictly a fossil by now! ::) ;D

Let's see...the one I have at home says Nokia on the monitor. I usually go by the Operating systemm though; at home our OS is Windows 98.

An old one i managed to get from British Telecom.
I have that PC Hooked up to my stereo.
It has a 40 gig hard drive but i took everything else usefull out of it.
Then there is an old AST Pentium II which is in the office.
That's mainly used for letters, quotes, invoices etc..
THEN! there is my baby..
It's a Dell 4700 with a 3.2 GH'z Processor, i run XP on it, It has 512KB's of RAM, if i was gonna stay around longer i would boost that up somewhat. It sports an 80GB Hard drive... i was given the option of a 160GB hard drive, but it was one of those desk top chasis ones, and i dont want an external hard drive. I bunged a DVD/CD Writer combo in there and have the pieste la resistance.. A 2MB DSL CONNECTION BABY!
I download at around 100-120KB/Per Second now.. literally the Modem was upgraded today, about an hour ago. It is sweet! I have been assured that i can coak faster speeds out of it and get it going at about 140-160 KB/PS.
I have two of them networked, but the one in the office is meant to be a stand alone unit so that when useing it nobody is tempted to mess around on the net ;)

I built my new computer myself last summer. It is a 2800 + Athlon XP, 80 GB HD, 512 RAM, Windows XP, CD-RW, GeForce FX 5200 Graphics card. It's pretty solid and fast enough for me.

I have sorted the Modem..
I can now download at speeds of around 200 KB's Per Second.

I don't, I just use other people's. I could buy an ex-works Dell Pentium 4 & peripherals for £50, but haven't got a decent 'net connection at home, plus it's a deliberate choice not to spend my entire life in front of a computer!

I thought I had answered this before...or maybe there are two of these. Anyway, I really have no clue what kind of computers we have since my husband keeps updating them and we don't have the original case/towers. Our laptop is HP though.
