Anyone ever try a Ouija board?

I did once and it did spell words but I'm pretty sure the person I was playing with was doing it on purpose... I don't really believe in that kind of stuff too much...

Great games.  If you love Yatzee you'd love playing Pipsoh! on the computer.  (I do).  My all-time favourite boardgame would have to be Scrabble.  My family is a big fan of boardgames.  We always take a couple and a pack of cards on holiday. :)

I've always like Trival Pursuit and (believe it or not) the game of Life. As a kid, I loved Battle Ship but haven't played that in YEARS. We mostly play card games now (either with real cards or on the computer), poker, canasta, freecell, etc.

I was wondering the same thing myself. That's a game I like as well but I don't know if it would be construed as a "board" game. :-\\

I love Monopoly.  Lately my favorite has been Scrabble.  Sarah got it for Christmas and we play a couple of times a week.  I think I need to buy Boggle, too.  I love games that make you think.  Especially when it makes her think.

My favorite is Trivial Pursuit.
I found that once the answers are known in TP, the game becomes uninteresting when the game is played for the second and future times.

We play Monopoly, especially the Star Wars version

we also like Harry Potter Diagon Alley and Cluedo (Clue).

recently we dug out Mindtrap and the kids thought it was fun, though it makes you brain hurt after a while!

Not sure it's truly a board game but Bananagrams is fun to play

I LOVE board games and card games.  Scene it is a hoot, and all of the versions of Trivial Pursuit.  I also love Scattergories and Apples to Apples.  I have a whole bunch of party board games like Imagine It, and Battle of the Sexes.

As I wrote a few pages back, most are "bored games", but I did teach my kids to play chess, and continued to play with then until they got to the point that they beat me every time.  I can beat Cat, but it isn't fun  because she is sooo bad.  I use to have a partner who was +/- at my level, and that was fun.  But who wants to win with no challenge or lose every time?  Email chess anyone?

We used to play board games quite a lot as a family (Monopoly, Risk, Clue, Scotland Yard, Ludo...), though it would usually end up in someone getting upset...to put it mildly. ::)

Now that I'm living on my own, I don't play any of them anymore. :( But you're all very welcome!
