Cool, that's where I learned about it too (to this day, I still think Pauly Shore is the man!). In fact, I didn't even know it was a real-named activity - I had the assumption it was another one of his semi made up "LA surfer dude" phrases, hehe. Actually, with him it's called "Wheezing a little ju-uuuice." ;D

No I've never done it though. Anytime I go into a 7-11 and see a slurpy machine, I always smile a bit. I'd never do it though - some things you can't really do in real life as easily as in a fictional movie!

This reminds me of this scene in "The Simpsons" where Moe has to leave the bar for a few minutes and he tells Barney to keep an eye on things while he's gone. After Moe leaves, they cut back to Barney laying under the beer tap, and he says, "Uh, oh, my heart just stopped! (pause) Ah, there it goes!" ;D

Believe it or not, there is a pizza place not too far from me that has a very BatMobile-esque game. I got a high score on it six months ago and it's since been knocked down to 3rd place. There's a few places like that which could still pass for the '90s, maybe even '80s because they still keep old-school arcade games.

OMG....I am reviving it once again. I just read this thread...and it made me laugh. Beth will kill me for bumping it again...but I don't care!

Anyway, my answers haven't changed since the old days. I never did it myself, although I always wanted to try doing what Stoney did (his Encino Man character), even if just to see what it's like. I've wondered about it for a long time! From the way the movie portrayed it, it seemed like he knew the clerks at that conveinence store and had probably done it before. They probably begrudgingly let him do it some point earlier, but didn't want him letting Link do it too.

I'm such a dork for analyzing that, but I do that with movie scenes alot of the time. ;D

Anyway, who else has done it?

hahahaah....I loved that scene when they did that. Didn't Link get a head rush? He was like yelling and stuff. Gosh, it's been so long since I've seen that movie. I had such a major crush on Brendan Fraser during that time period. LOL! :P

Oh hey, changing the subject a little, but did you see Airheads, where the three rocker guys who can't get a contract try to get a radio station to play their demo on the air, and hold it up? It's sort of a dark comedy, and they're generally not as likable in that (except for Adam Sandler in one of his first roles), but I was like "Oh my God, Link came a long way in two years!" ;D

You know what? I think I have seen bits and pieces of it...but never the whole movie. I do, love the movie, Blast From The Past....because not only does it have Brendan Fraser in it..it also has Alicia Silverstone (I like her a lot too ;)).

From what I know about the Cuban Missile Crisis, it wasn't that far off both from the reality that almost happened, as well as what people thought. But it was like a totally humorous take on how someone from 1962 would perceive scary future things from the world of "1997", like those lowriders and hip hop music when his dad took a peek and a walk outside at night! ;)
