Royal Blue (whatever that means...) - a deepish blue to the layman...

My truck is midnight blue. In the right light it looks purple. Very pretty.

I have a 'rainbow blue' Vauxhall Corsa. Well, we borrow a 'rainbow blue' Vauxhall Corsa from my girlfriend's parents.

The car I drive most is black, my 66 Mustang is "springtime yellow", my husband's truck is gold and his Harley is black and red and my son's car is reddish.....no, maroonish......something like that!! Now I've gotta start looking for a car for my youngest that just got his permit 2 weeks ago. DAM!!! And I wonder where all my money goes!! :\'(

Really? To tell you the truth, I myself don't have a license yet, and I'm 24 and a half years old. :-[ But I hope to get it some time this year, since I don't have a lot of classes this semester.
Anyway, our Toyota Sienna minivan is white, and our Toyota Camry (which my mom drove primarily until we got the van; now my dad drives it to the train station and back) is blue.

The dealership called it pewter but it's more of a mix between silver and gold. Maybe it should be called sand.

That was the very first thing I asked them about when I hired on. (That used to kind of bug me when I was a kid.) The story goes that the founder of Yellow Freight (which started out as a taxi company in Oklahoma City in the 20's) decided that for safety reasons he wanted his trucks to be painted in the most visible color possible. So sometime in the 30's or 40's he commissioned the DuPont company to do studies and develop a color that provided maximum visibility. They came up with a color that they called "Swamp Holly Orange," and that's the color that Yellow trucks are painted to this very day.
