Happy Birthday, and stay out of that noonday sun ;D
Mad Dogs and Englishmen by Noel Coward
Mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun.
The smallest Malay rabbit deplores this foolish habit.
In Hong Kong they strike a gong and fire off a noonday gun,
To reprimand each inmate who's in late.
In the mangrove swamps where the python romps
there is peace from twelve till two.
Even caribous lie around and snooze, for there's nothing else to do.
In Bengal to move at all is seldom ever done,
But mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun.

Hey guys, thanks so much!
Having a great birthday so far - my wife and daughters clubbed together to get me an ipod mini for my present so I've had fun today playing with that. Tonight I'm taking my wife out to.....the ballet! Wasn't my first choice I have to say, I've never been before so I'm trying to go with an open mind :-\\.

Well thanks again to all of you who've posted here - sincerely appreciated!
I thought I'd let you know how the ballet was. It was "Sleeping Beauty" by Tchaikovsky at the Opera House in Manchester, England. We were given the tickets as a present by some friends of ours, otherwise I don't think either my wife or I would have had the slightest intention to go. However, we took the plunge and I really....didn't hate it! Actually, parts of it I really enjoyed, and I honestly didn't expect to say that. At the end it went on too long for me, too many solos and duets with complicated dance steps that seemed to be included just to let the principal dancers show off a bit. The staging and costumes were fantastic though and the ballerina who played Sleeping Beauty was just beautiful to watch.
High spot of the evening was when my wife whispered to me "Are they going to speak or sing something soon?".
