I found this site when it was inthe80s only (no inthe70s, inthe90s or inthe00s). I was searching for lyrics quizzes to do and it took me to this site. I don't remember exactly how I found the messageboard...I guess I must have had a music question and I posted it and found that the people here were so friendly. It has now been 5 years and all I can say is that this place gets better and better! :)

I was looking for a title/artist of a song-plugged into Google and it took me here. I asked my question (got a response extremely quickly) and stayed. That was almost 2 years ago. Now, you can't keep me away from this site. lol

I seem to remember that!! I may have already been here when you joined. :)
How did I discover this site? I didn't. Rush found it. I don't remember how he discovered it, but it was late one night after we'd got home from somewhere. I posted as a guest for a while then registered. Rush would show up a little while later making intermittent appearances as "Numnum" before switching to "Rush" and posting a bit more regularly. I'm on more often than he is because I have too much time on my hands. :D

I discovered it through Amiright.com, which I have been a regular visitor to since April 25, 2000. I found out about the messageboard in late 2001; I didn't do any posting at all for a year, since I didn't have a cool "username" or anything. My username was born in January of 2003; a month later I began posting as a guest. It wasn't until February of '04 when I finally registered for an account.

For the life of me, I can't begin to remember...
But dead lucky tho'...apart from learning a thing or two, there's some quite wonderful people inhabiting the place (you wouldn't believe how uncivil some people can be on other sites...)

I was looking up some lyrics (don't remember which ones) and ran across amiright.com and then followed the link to here, registered and enjoyed. That was a few years back and after about a year or better of being gone I came back and couldn't log in with my old username (I used to be BatRastard) so I re-registered as Joe Dirt. It was cool coming back and remembering a lot of the same names. But, I have noticed some members missing that I would have thought would still be here. ??? This board was/is the only board I have posted on b/c it has the most down to earth normal ::) peeps from a varietyof different places/cultures. It's just a 8) place!
P.S. - Props to Chucky ;D

Thanks. :) I remember not being familiar with the song "Tears On Your Anorak" then, but am happy to say that I've heard it several times since on our digital cable 80's digital music channel. :) Er...who's it by again?

For me, it must have been May 2005, but the story's much the same. My search led me to AmIright, I posted some misheard/repetitive/etc. lyrics there before finding out about the messageboard option, which eventually led me here.
I had never seen a messageboard before :o
Same with me...but then, I didn't even have access to the internet until February 2005. :o

Freaked ya out, didn't it? :o :D ;D
I think I was looking for 80's nostalgia at work, then came across inthe80s.com, and the old old old old OLD messageboard before the YaBB board. The B.Y. (before YaBB) board seemed pretty formal, meaning there didn't seem to be a lot of personal info disclosed. Everyone seemed to open up (and then some) shortly after the YaBB board was created. :D
