Subject: Has any money of yours/other people gone missing?

Written By: Stompgal on 06/24/04 at 10:12 am

My sister's money went missing from her purse. I don't want my mum to find out, but I actually took it to the cinema with me. Sorry, Penny. :\'(

Yes, I'm afraid so, but only if I'm broke! I once stole money from my mum's purse because she wasted mine by throwing my chocolate in a bush last month. She still hasn't found out.

Oh it does happen. I've heard a few tales. One of my family stole a Royal Mint coin collection dated back to 1988 just to get a couple of pound from it! I reckon that would have been worth something now.

Still . . .  :-\\

Sounds like someone really needs to sit down for breakfast with a good bowl of MORAL FIBER!  If you steal you are showing the world an incredible flaw in your moral character and that you need to really examine your ethical behavior.  If you need to steal to provide for a dying family member that is a little different because allowing someone to die would be a worse moral crime than stealing.  If you steal simply because you are a greedy self serving narcicistic (sp) (insert your own put down) than you are a person who can never earn the trust of anyone.  I had my wallet stolen whilst in Navy "A" school.  I felt shi**y but it did not make me want to steal from another.  It did however start me on the path to becoming an incredible cynic, which I am slowly replacing with cautious skepticism.
God lyk!

I think you ought to be telling your sister this not us,or does she read these threads so therefore you are letting her find out without actually having the guts to tell her to her face ?

Don't know if you can count this, but hubby's "taken" $$ out of my wallet in the mornings when he's running low as our bank is NOTORIOUS for "out of order" ATM's and he refuses to pay the $1.50 to use a different bank's.  I guess it's not really "my" money, though, so it wouldn't count ;)

I HATE that!  My spouse is notorious for doing that to me.  It reeally sucks when your in a drive thru, ya go to pay & realize your husband took all your cash. And they don't take debit cards! >:(

That's why I always have a "secret stash" elsewhere (in a couple of different places, too, just in case he finds one of them). ;)  If hubby only knew how much I had "hidden", he'd have a cow ;D

Just make sure that StompGal does not find your stash.  :-\\ :-X
