I'll give her a call since she lives quite a distance from me. I saw her about two weeks ago and gave her 3 CDs that I know she LOVES (I wonder if she has worn them out yet). So it was kind of an early Mother's Day gift.

Unfortunately, I no longer have a mother here on Earth since she died 5 years ago on June 7. She's in that better place everyone talks about. I guess her Mother's Day present would have been to see one of her children marry or have the family clean up the house.

I'm really not sure that my kids are doing anything for me this Mother's Day. They're still quite young. I did tell my husband that I wanted him to grill some of his famous Ribeye steaks tho'! :)
I also wouldn't mind a little peace a quiet around here, but that's probably asking for too much. It would be nice to get a few hours to work on my potter's wheel....it's been a while! :-\\

They're the best sort of gift. ;)  I got half a dozen beads threaded onto hat elastic from my youngest boy. I've been wearing it all day and I think it's beautiful :) He also made me a card which said " I can't stop loving you" ... which made me laugh and cry at the same time. My other children also made me lovely cards.

We are going over to my parents' house for the weekend (haven't seen them since Christmas) and taking Mom some geraniums (hopefully already in a decorative pot) as they are her favorite flower and she hasn't had a chance to go to Muskegon to get any yet. Micah & I got each got her a card and I'm hoping that my dad will take us out somewhere for brunch after church. I'm also hoping he will take us out to dinner tomorrow night! ;)

We left her alone. Her idea of the perfect mothers day is to lay on the couch with her feet up and a book. She wants to be alone....we did send her a fruit flower bouquet, too.

A belated Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers here! :)
I made spaghetti for my mother for dinner yesterday. Also made her some beaded jewelry as a gift, something I enjoy doing from time to time.

Awww...that must've been real nice! And I bet making beaded jewelry must be fun to do. :) 8)

This year, for the first time since 2003, I will help my dad cook a nice meal for my mom. :)

I will give her a card and just my mere presence that makes her smile. :)

We are going to take her out for an early dinner at a nice restaurant. Also, give her some nice gifts.
Originally, she thought about having us (Dad & me) cook something, but she changed her mind because she couldn't think of anything good. So that's why we're taking her out instead.

My sister came down from Boston, and we took my mom out to an early dinner. Pretty much what everyone else is doing! ;D

I took my mom shopping, and today I'm going to go file for bankruptcy. :-X
Why does someone need more than one purse? ;D
