I like many restaurants.  So choosing other would be kind of pointless.  There are just too many.  :)  So out of those, I chose Applebee's.  I even have some Applebee's uniforms I bought off of eBay! :D

Of those listed, I like Chili's best. There are others I enjoy, but I can't vote for more than one item, so I guess I'll have to go with Chili's.

Actually I have a friend who works at Black Stump and after what she's told me about their work practices towards their employees, I probably won't eat there much anymore. NOt that I can now the closest one is 20 miles away.

What exactly is "chicken fried steak"?

Is it chicken, or is it steak (i.e., beef) ?  ???

It's a southern entree consisting of a steak battered and fried as if it were fried chicken. Then they drizzle this light and wonderfully seasoned white gravy all over it. Mmmm... They usually serve that with homestyle mashed red potatoes (with the skin) and corn. It's absolute bliss.

Hehe...this one time I was eating at the cafeteria at my college, and they were serving some chicken fried steak.  On the little sign it said "chicken fried steak (beef fried like chicken)"  Don't know why, but I thought it funny how they had to get so specific.  They also can't make "nachos."  It's always "chips & cheese"  ::)

Since I moved down to K.C. about 6 months ago, I find myself missing two regional chains based in my hometown of Lincoln, NE: Runza (the ORIGINAL Hot Pocket, stuffed with ground beef, cabbage, and cheese...yum!) and Valentino's, a pizza/pasta chain with the best pizza sauce around. Both of these chains have many locations throughout the Midwest, but none in K.C. for some unknown reason.   :(

We usually go to Cracker Barrel when we are on the road for breakfast (of course with us, that could be about 2 in the afternoon). Applebees isn't too bad. We have a few places around here that I don't know if other places have them, Ninty-Nine (which I believe is owned by Red Lobster-though I could be wrong), Weather Vane, and Sirloin Saloon.

Applebee's is too unoriginal, run-of-the-mill.. I don't like bar and grills.
Bob Evans is nothing special, I'd rather have Applebee's, to be honest.
Chili's.. better selection, but I just can't get into it. Still bar and grill.
Denny's is great, especially for breakfast.. I get weird cravings for Denny's.
O'Charley's.. never heard of it.
Red Lobster.. hmm.. the salads are pretty nice, and I had a steak there once.. I was very satisfied.
Uno is a pizzeria, isn't it? Decent, but not my favorite.

All things considered? On here, it's Denny's. Otherwise, Outback.

I'm not sure what to think about IHOP. The only time I ever went there, I ordered chocolate chip pancakes, expecting them to actually be cooked inside of the pancake. Instead, I got a regular pancake, with chocolate chips thrown on top of it.

That happened to me at a local restaurant here.  The chips had been clumped together, and melted on top of the pancakes.  I didn't like that  :(
