It has been a little over two years...

Who would have ever thought that a simple search for lyrics quizzes in March of 2002 would have led me here and changed my whole life...?

For a little while I found a family here - people whom I could embrace, with whom I could laugh and cry and feel like I belonged. I even had the delightful pleasure of meeting a few of the members. Then in a year's time I watched sad changes - I watched people come and go; I witnessed bickering and cruelty and I saw my new found family fall apart. I learned that Messageboard Families, just like the rest of life are ephemeral...

But in spite of the hurt and bitterness of observing something 'perfect' die away, a few someones still remain of that 'old family' that bring a smile of warmth to my face: Banasy, Karen M., Indy, BoboBear, The Oreo Brothers, Moo - will these people still be part of my life in years to come...? Who can say? I hope that it will be so, but I have learned the hard lesson here...

This board has changed and it again seems to be a 'happy' place filled with lots of good people; many new people - I can come here and feel comfortable and secure. But I still miss my old 'family' - ghosts now, that will never return as they were then.

But through it all, there are two certainties here in my life and that is why I am writing this post...

Mark, from the beginning you have been there. You reached out to me and together we forged a friendship that I know will endure. I wish everyone on this board could know you as I do - know your enthusiasm and love of life, share your laughter and tears. I have been priveleged to do this. You have been a shoulder for me and have listened to me through some of my darkest hours and you have allowed me to do the same for you. Will we meet someday? I never doubt it. Until then, I am always your loving friend... :)

Wow. This post is really touching. When you're new, I suppose you don't realise what went on before and the friendships and connections that have been established.

As some people come and go it is nice to know there are a lot of people who stay here and love the boards.

I have met many people here...some I thought of as true frinds who have now passed on by me and chosen to become cruel....while a few have remained "True" friends. IndyGent, Lebiew15, Bobo, Karen M., to name just a few who have been a blast to get to know....I too joined this place back in early 2002 and although the road was sometimes very bumpy, I have learned quite a lot about life and people in general. There have also been sad times for all...none worse than the tragic loss of ones life (Scorpion)..whom I had the pleasure of conversing with about a year before her death...I miss her  :'( Which brings me back to my point....the wonderful people that have touched my life...people whom I've always appreciated for thier loving hearts...though some are now gone from my life I will always remember and hold dear those great times. Banasy and I share a tragedy of losing our children...which is not supposed to happen to a parent. Luke has been a supportive friend to me that I will always be grateful for....and last but never least, Zella....we have shared laughs, tears and even a virtual pizza or two...and through it all you have shown me what a true friend is. I will always be here for you and I know in my heart that you will always be there for  me....Love You :-*

After a while you get so attached to a computer family.
