Subject: 80s Radio Show!
Hey everyone!
As some of you know, I'm studying Journalism at Nottingham Trent University (England) at the moment. We are about to set up a web radio station where we will be broadcasting for the last 2 weeks of March, and 1st week of April.
The web page hasn't been set up,, but its being run by everyone on my course from years 1 to 3, and I have various shows that I'm going to be involved in. I'd love it if some of you listened to the shows when the station is up and running.
Basically, I am involved with the soap opera 'Elm Avenue', the lunchtime slot (12 til 1 for the entire 3 weeks) and an 80s music show which will be on each Thursday. For the 2nd Thursday, which I belive is the 25th March - I will be presenting it without my co-host - quite scary!!
Basically, this is a post to just tell you about the station, which is radio NORMAN (Nottingham Online Radio, something, something, something?? :P)
Also if you have any ideas on what we could do for the 80s show in particular I'd love to know!

Many moons ago, I was involved in Hospital Radio (one listen to me, and I'd put you in!)...and the concept appears to be the same...
Wasn't involved in anything too 80's oriented, but me and some of our 'happy bunch' did create something based thematically, i.e., a show of 80's love songs, new romantic songs, 'disco'/club/pop crossovers, novelties (and there were plenty!) - that sort of thing...did involve a bit of research (which was my involvement!), but it was a larf!
See how that sort of idea goes...
Yes, keep us all updated on the progress...I can't guarantee, but I'll try and have a 'listen in'...
