19 years ago today, a wonderful change took place in the universe....Rio Rhodes was born!!!!
I'm just kidding, I'm not that egotistical, but I am really excited that its my birthday today!!!!
I have so far had an amazing birthday...
First, I woke up around one in the afternoon just because I could.... ;D
Then I decided I would not go out and hunt for a job today, just because I could...
Then, as I was relaxing in bed, watching Days of Our Lives :D, my cell phone goes off....who is it?...
The Hard Rock Cafe!! :o It seems that they really liked my application I gave to them yesterday and now I go in for an interview tomorrow!!!
I have been seriously about to go into overload I've been so excited about this!!!! This is the only job I have really wanted even before I moved to Vegas!!!! Everything worked out really strangely with it, like its fate! But I'm not going to jinx it, I'm just floored that I even got an interview!!!!
All I would need is to get a call from the hotel asking for an interview now, I might have to be sedated if that happens!!!!
So anyways, this has been officially the best birthday I have had yet and I really felt I needed to share it with everyone else on the board!!! :)

Thanks guys, I had a great birthday yesterday...
After I got off the boards,my friend and I went out to the Olive Garden for dinner, which is my absolute favorite restaurant. My roomate also embarassed me by telling the waitress it was my birthday.
If anyone has been to the Olive Garden, you know what happens to those innocent folks who go there on their birthday!! If you don't, what happens is about six of the waitstaff come out with a piece of cake with a candle in it singing Happy Birthday, as loud as they possibly can.
But anyways, I had a great day yesterday and the interview went great today, I had all the right answers according to the guy interviewing me.
Get this, it is almost as involved to get a job at the Hard Rock as it is to get a job in the Government I think!!! I have to do three interviews, a background check, a drug test ( which is fine anyways), and I'm almost sure that they check your geneology to make sure your ancestors were passengers on the Mayflower.
Just kidding about the last part, but it is really tough to get a job there but the job itself is perfect for me!!
Being the hostess means all kinds of fun stuff like not only helping the guests to their seats but the celebrities too!
I also will be sort of like a museum curator for all of the memorobilia on the walls of the cafe, and believe me, there was a lot. I was in a trancelike state walking through not just the cafe, but the casino too!!
I would love to be hired there in time to maybe meet David Bowie since he is coming here at the end of January!!!
I will be able to die a happy girl if I get to meet him!!!!

bwhahahahahahahaha that totally cracked me up !! I usually complete that kinda sentence with "and they wanna know what colour undies you wear on Tuesdays" - but I am now in love with your Mayflower sentence.

Thanks for all of the birthday wishes, I haven't been on in a couple of days but I have got some news...
Well, I didn't get the job at the Hard Rock Cafe :(, but they said they'd let me know as soon as they need me, if that ever happens....oh well. Such is life, I just keep on pushin on with my endless job search.
But other than that, everything has been going really great for me so far this year. I'll keep you guys posted on what goes on!

It is the Hard Rock Cafe in Las Vegas to answer Dagwood's question. I just moved here a few months ago and so far I love it here!!
