Subject: I've got a stupid question
When is Chanukkah this year? And is it always on the same days? I want to send an online card to someone I know that will be celebrating Chanukkah.
Subject: Re: I've got a stupid question
I'm not sure if it's always on the same day, but my calendar says it starts on the 20th. :)

Actually, Hanukka (one of it's many spellings) begins on the 19th at sundown. Jewish holidays always begin at sundown the day before it says on the calender-the calender basically states the first DAY rather then when it actually begins.

Speaking of spellings, I noticed two flubs in your post: "it's" should be "its" (because "it's" with an apostraphe is the contraction for "it is", so "one of it is many spellings" doesn't make cents, er, sense; "its" means "belonging to it") and "calender" should be "calendar". :)
To BBM and Jessica: it never falls on the same day every year.

Oh. Whew, glad you pointed that out to me. Without you, I wouldn't have been able to understand that post.
Don't want to sound rude or anything, but some people should shut up and stop criticizing. After all, you spelled "apostrophe" wrong.

Are you talking about the chocolate gelt? Yummy. I do light the candles on Hannukah to celebrate my Jewish heiritage even though I am not a practicing Jew. I bought my manorrah and my nativity scene (before I realized I was a witch) in Jerusalem. Actually, I pretty much celebrate EVERYTHING! Any excuse for a party. ;D

What's so funny about being a witch?
It's rude to correct people and make a joke of them. Where are your manners? Miss Appear, how do we make you Dis Appear?

Thank you very much Lebeiw and Ladybug. I deal with petty people all the time so I am used to it. Usually I just ignore them. But it is nice to have people backing me up.
