I was Kim in "Bye Bye Birdie", The Scarecrow in "The Wizard of Oz", & I can't remember the other one. I actually never got to do it because I came down with mono a week before the performance. :(

Brigadoon, Into the Woods, The Nutcracker, and Footloose (I did a bunch of others, but they weren't musicals). I also took this great class where we did a different play everydayand some of those were musicals.

Umm I was in the choir for a musical version of Macbeth. Things like the witches bit ("double double toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble) were set to music.
I was also in the crowd for a musical called Dazzle. Don't think anyone else will know it. Sort of Star Trek meets Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Douglas Adams.

Well, let me see, I was in Yankee Doodle Dandy (music by George M. Cohan) Bye, Bye Birdie, Li'l Abner, a local play called The Woodstock Way (the author was at all the rehearsals), A stupid production called That's Musical Comedy Part II-it was basically a review of songs from musicals. I also did summer stock when I was 17 where we did two musicals-Company and Damn Yankees. I actually tried out for both of them-in Company, the tick-tock dancer but was told I looked too young. For Damn Yankees, one of the groupies and I was told I looked too old. Go figure. But, I was the "production assistance" for Company-in other words, I was the stage manager's gofer. I also did a lot of other plays, concerts, and dance shows. I basically grew up in the theatre.

I was a friggin' Fairy in Midsummer's night dream Freshman Year) That's three months of my life that I'll never get back. I had NEON polka dotted wings and a pink tunic thingy.
AYE!!!
That was just highschool though.
My REAL acting experience came from my 6+ years in A youth theater group called the Urban Youth Theater co. We were the Best Youth Theater group in NYC in my opinion.

my school does musicals every year, but i'm not involved...i don't like singing in public. i guess i could be on stage crew or something, but i have no idea where to sign up and i've had too many bad experiences with play directors.

I can happily say I have never been in a musical. If I was I would have made the biggest fool of myself. ::)

I've been in a couple of revues, and one musical: a parody (of course) to The Mikado set in prohibition-era New York. The words were written by a lecturer at Leicester Uni (where I was) called Roger Scoppie, and they were hilarious. I still have my script, and have a look through every couple of years...

C'mon Gore - do tell us a bit more about it! :D
Year 11 our class did "Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". Year 12 we did nursery rhymes as an opera! Good fun.
