Subject: Monty Python & The Holy Grail....Like It?
From sarcastic Frenchmen to Coconuts "Migrating"..from Sir Robin Running Away to the Bridge Of Death.....what are YOUR thoughts on this classic comedy ;D
Subject: Re: Monty Python & The Holy Grail....Like It?
Possibly the best commedy ever made!
"what makes you think shes a witch?"
"Well she turned me into a nuet!"
"A nuet?"
"I got-I got better though"
and of course the classic:
"He must be a king"
"why do you say that?"
"because hes not covered in sh*t!"
Subject: Re: Monty Python & The Holy Grail....Like It?
Yes I love this movie. It is one of the greatest comedy's ever. ;)
Subject: Re: Monty Python & The Holy Grail....Like It?
It's a favourite. Last Friday night we borrowed it from Blockbuster and the entire family has watched it over and over. My kids have almost memorised the movie since then. I said to my husband that we should buy the DVD for them (and us) for Christmas. The Life Of Brian is also a favourite. ;D

Love it, and anything to do with Monty Python :D

"It's just a flesh wound!"
Greatl flick, perhaps only topped by the Life of Brian.
Subject: Re: Monty Python & The Holy Grail....Like It?
I agree- The Life of Brian was better, but The Holy Grail comes a close second.
"Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?"
Kind of strange considering they DO. They float across the ocean for months and grow into trees wherever they are washed up.
Subject: Re: Monty Python & The Holy Grail....Like It?
Personally I prefer the Life of ("He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy") Brian... but Python and the Holy Grail has so many funny moments: I've recently got the DVD, which also has out-takes and a "Grail Revisited" short feature where Palin and Chapman went back to Castle Aarrrgh... and bought a script from the souvenir shop as they didn't have one :-)
But for anyone who truly likes P&tHG, I offer up Crazy Knights. Enjoy.

There's been a bit of news lately that one of the castles used for the movie has experienced a huge leap in tourism since then. They even lend coconut halves for nutters to "clop" around the place... ::)

"Run away, run away" ;D
Love Monty Python.
Would you like a side of Spam with your Spam? :D

"Bravely, bold Sir Robin, brought forth from Camelot. He was not afraid to die, oh brave, brave Sir Robin. He was not afraid to die in the nastist ways. Oh brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Robin."
"Someday all this will be yours."
"What? The curtains?"
"We are the knights who say 'NEE' and we want a shrubbery."
"Bring out your dead."
"But I aint dead yet."
"But you will be soon."
Sorry, never seen the movie. ;) ;D ;D
I first saw it at the theatre. We heard that the first so many people who saw it got free coconuts. We knew someone who got a coconut and told us about it. When we went, they were all out of coconuts. :'( Oh well. It was still a great movie.

Another for the Python fans - I've just recorded my "It's Late" dead parrot version... for those of you with fast connections (it's 6.7MB - long song, I'm afraid) it's here
Subject: Re: Monty Python & The Holy Grail....Like It?
Like it. Love it, in fact. But really, this is one of those movies you really only have to see once, and from then on you can just quote it for the rest of eternity.

Great parody there!!!!!! LOL!!!
Subject: Re: Monty Python & The Holy Grail....Like It?
I love anything Monty Python ever did and I have all their videos and watch them regularly - but I am terrible at quoting !! If someone quotes at me I know which movie its from - but I cant do quotes myself. I will always say "He's not the messiah, he's a vewy naughty boy" if I am telling someone off tho !!
(ooh and I can sing every line of Every Sperm Is Sacred !).
The only movie I have ever been able to quote well is Rocky Horror.
However - my boss can do entire segments of practically every movie he has ever seen !! He does Python all day (I usually end up under my desk in fits of laughter) and he does Blazing Saddles non stop !!
Its obviously a talent I wasnt born with !!

How can you not love anything by Monty Python??
Brave Sir Robin ran away, bravely ran away away. When danger reared its ugly head, he bravely turned his tail and fled. Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about, and valiantly, he chickened out. Bravely taking to his feet, he beat a very brave retreat. A brave retreat by Sir Robin
