Some of my favourite songs are in there! What's so wrong with Rooster and Sunday Bloody Sunday? ??? Those songs examine the horrors of historical events and remind us how lucky we are to be living in these relatively comfortable times.
I was really surprised to see "Crash and Burn" in there. Didn't they know it's just a metaphor for having an emotional breakdown? Even I knew that and I'm an Aspie.

I think this list was made right after September 11, and it looks like they picked out a lot of titles that have anything to do with fire, planes, or burning.  Unfortunately, you have to actually listen to some lyrics before you can tell what a song is about; not just by the title, those morons.

If I'm thinking right, 311 "Down" is about being 'cool' and content with something...at least that's what it seems like from the chorus...."know that we have always been down, down..."

"Walk Like An Egyptian"? What the poop?

Yeah... "Walk Like An Egyptian" confused me greatly.

As did "Wipeout"... does that song even HAVE lyrics?

Maybe they just picked songs they didn't like.

Rather strange to see those songs by Cat on there...but one of his that undoubtedly should be is 'I'm Gonna Get Me A Gun', an early effort from 1967...

I don't know whether it's the song's content, or whether Cat himself dismisses it completely, but it has never been included on any of his greatest hits albums (and there's been quite a few...) - rather odd as chartwise it was his second biggest hit here...

As time went on the song was played less and less on 'oldies' stations, and finally after the tragic events at Dunblane in 1996, it was dropped from all playlists completely - probably never to be heard again...

Wrong--most of the titles are related to it.

And why do they call the "lyrics" questionable?  Just because the titles have something similar with September 11 does not mean that the content of the songs do.

"Rage Against The Machine--All songs" ... that's pretty broad.

The person who made this list is still a moron.

I think they left out a few key songs...the theme song to Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Mary Had a Little Lamb.  But I'm glad they remembered What a Wonderful World.  Geesh, that song has "offensive" written all over it.  Morning has Broken, too.

its because everything theyve done has been anti-America and anti-capitalist, and they figured we really didnt need their BS at that time

They'll soon ban all songs containing the words "I love you baby" on the grounds that it encourages paedophilia. Although, most songs that have those words in are sung by wholly evil teenyboppers (such as Sh*tney Beers, Justin Trousersnake, Hilary Fluff, etc.) who deserve to be banned anyway.
