I LOVE RHPS. I got hooked in high school. The put on the stage play here a few years ago. It was great (even though it wasn't with Tim Curry and Richard O'Brian and crew). I do have it on video but it just loses something watching it in your own livingroom. :-/

Flippin 'eck you do love your Rocky Horror, Ripp. My girlfriend went to see it a few months ago dressed as a french maid in a red boa. She loved it. I might be tempted to go but I don't have the courage in dressing up in woman's tights and stuff.

NO! If I picked a movie to go to and say the lines throughout it would definitaly "Monty Python Search For The Holy Grail" :D

Is that the European or African swallow? ;-)
Me, I love RHPS - though so far I've only parodied one song from it. I saw it on stage recently (well, about three years ago - that counts as recently in my post-children social calendar), with Bob Monkhouse as the narrator - and with Jason Donovan NOT as Frank N Furter (JD was billed, but we had the understudy who was pretty much perfect - couldn't have been better)

Love it! I've lost count of how many times I've seen it in the past 25 years.
Subject: Re: Rocky Horror Show - do you like it?
Oh you are so lucky Philbo - I begged for the understudy that night and still got stuck with JD - shudder.
Other fave from the 80's was Russell Crowe - first as Eddie/Dr Scott, then as Frank. YUM !!
Before that Daniel Abineri - he was SEXY - and the closest portrayal to Tim Curry I have ever seen. Lost count of how many times I saw him in it.
Speaking of the fabulous Eddie - I have my 3rd row tickets to Meatloaf for March :) yeay.
Does anyone have a recent Guinness Book of Records ? I havent seen one for YEARS. My friend and I set a record in 1985/86 for watching it over 300 times in a row. Never knew if it got broke or not.

Meatloaf is GREAT. Saw him in concert about 10 years ago. He does put on one hell of a show.
So, you are in the Guiness book of world records?

Hiya Cat - I cant wait for the Meat gig - have seen him 5 times in past 20 years and he never does a bad show.
I only ever had the one copy of the Guinness Book and that was the year I was in it. Never thought to buy another one over the years to see if anyone was silly enough to break the record !!
Subject: Re: Rocky Horror Show - do you like it?
I like the film but have never seen the stage show.
In December we are going to something called Rocky Meats the Blues. Some sort of musical thing with songs from Rocky Horror, Meatloaf and the Blues Brothers. I have no idea what it will be like but am assured by someone who goes to other shows at this place that she has never had a bad evening there. I don't think its the sort of place to wear a basque and stockings though!

Sorry there was no mention of you :( only of the U.S fan club president who's seen it over 1000 times.
Subject: Re: Rocky Horror Show - do you like it?
thanks for looking :) I will have to see if I still have my book from that year and scan it.
Geez the president has only seen it 1000 times ? If I saw it over 300 times in one year - then I woud have definately seen it more than 1000 times in the past 25 years !!!!!
Subject: Re: Rocky Horror Show - do you like it?
It's cool, I always die of laughter whenever I see Tim Curry as Frankenfurter(?) and when Susan S. starts singing LOL
Subject: Re: Rocky Horror Show - do you like it?
There is no justice. I like Tim Currry, and I think he should have been nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor. He is that good in it. And I like the song "Do the Time Warp Again." Other then that . . . I think the film is constructed on an awfully thin story.
